I purchased this tool to replace a crankshaft pulley on my daily driver which is a Nissan with a vq35de engine. The tool resembles the one in the factory service manual which the dealership uses. I couldn't find that tool for sale so I purchased this one because it is adjustable and has multiple attachments to suit different applications. I got it to work and successfully replaced the crankshaft pulley. The quality is good as well. It's definitely sturdy because the bolt was really on there so pressure was definitely applied. Good value for the price. Saved some money by doing it myself and if I have to do it again I have the tool on hand. I'm pretty sure it will hold other pulleys as well so it's a good addition to my tool box.

This is a pretty inclusive set. We got this kit to hold pulleys while we removed bolts/nuts off of pulleys on front wheel drive cars when we could not fit an impact wrench on them. This will save countless labor dollars at the mechanics. In the past, we always had to take our cars to a mechanic to change things like AC clutches when they were jammed up against a shock tower. Now, we can do these simple jobs ourselves. The case is very nice and well-marked, and everything fits back in. I now feel empowered to fix anything in my front-wheel drive cars. This will save a ton of time and money.

I got this to hold the water pump pulley in Audi S4 B8 and it worked fine for that - way better than stamped steel holders I have attempted to use in the past that just kept bending. I'm sure it will hold up fine for one-off jobs like that. Will it survive an abuse? Probably not, no tool would. The handle has a hole for an 1/2" breaker bar and if you try apply that much pressure on a 5mm pin - the pin would obviously bend or snap. However, I feel like if ever find yourself in a pinch - you can still full send it considering it is half the price of Powerbuilt 647876. If it works - you win, if not - just get a new one.Other than that, the I have no problem with the build quality. Welds look decent, threads are clean, jaws come together with just 1mm of misalignment, and the set comes with two extra nuts should you loose the original one, and the pins have clear size markings.

It would be handy to have an 8 point connection for more flexibility with a breaker bar. Why I gave it a 4 star review.
