This is a powerful fan, and I am very pleased with its performance. If you are looking for a standing fan that can really move the air, this is the one. It took my husband about 10 minutes to put together. It is rather heavy, which is good because it is unlikely to fall over. The base is wide and stable. I can't remember the measurements, but it is pretty tall, maybe about 4.5 to 5 feet at its highest. My only disappointment with the fan is that the decorative cone-shaped cover that is intended to hide the screws that hold the fan to the base does not secure tightly. The decorative cover slips over the shaft and then just rests on the base. This would be ok, except that there is a gap all-around (think of a putting a 1/2 in diameter dowel through a washer that has a 3/4 in hole) that allows the decorative cover to move around. Still, it's a great fan. I highly recommend it.

I live in Texas where the 'average' Summer temp hovers around 101F, and I spend quite a bit of time on my back porch. This fan is the perfect answer for my comfort needs. It's built like a Sherman tank with a strong heavy base and metal blades instead of plastic. And does it ever move air, even at it's lowest setting. And the price is quite reasonable for what you get. So, stop spending $30 for cheap plastic fans, and spend a little more if you really want a fan made for the outdoor heat.

Fan is sturdy and moves lots of air. This is a commercial fan and the cheap rubber or plastic floor protector around the base keeps falling off. It just doesn't match the quality of the rest of the product.

I bought this fan because I needed one that would reach a six foot high window and the less powerful fans barely reach 4 or 5 feet tall. I have never dared to use high speed in my house. That said, I am very happy with the durability and the power of this fan. It is very good at pulling in outside air and cooling off the house.

You can choose cheaper pedicle fans, but this is both heavy duty made to last and is a high velocity fan! This fan was easy to assemble and it includes a heavy base, so it's not going to move around or easy to tip over. If you believe in buying quality, this should be your choice! I've owned plastic shrouded pedicle fans. This fan includes a medal motor housing, fan blade cage and fan blades. I highly recommend this over the less expensive fans for longevity and overall heavy duty quality.5-Star Quality!

Purchased this fan to replace a wall mounted fan. This fan is surprisingly quiet, powerful and easy to assemble. I also like the fan can be set not to oscillate, has three speed settings and includes an adjustable stand giving one the option to move the fan where it is needed. The fan is reasonably priced. It actually cost the same as my wall mounted fan, but much better.

Great airflow, and good design. This will be our second summer. It is loud, but if you want airflow you put up with loud...it's about 65 decibels on low.
