This safe is super cool! The powder coating on the metal has a super awesome texture and a 3D-looking design on it with a nice sheen. The coating pattern changes depending on the light and the angle from which you are looking at the safe. Soooo coool!The keypad/charger also has a matching matte finish. I think this safe will fit any decor, from fancy library bookshelves, to kitchen, wardrobe cabinets etc.You should know, that it important to spread your self-defence handguns in strategic locations around the house (so get a couple of these safes). You want handguns locked up and inacessible by untrained or unauthorized personnel (including kids and guests). You want the handguns quickly accessible by you, and, I tell you for sure, the fingerprint unlocks the thing very fast. The door comes down fast, but does not slam loud. The spring action on the door is perfect IMHO. The sound from the door coming down is subtle. When you cock your gun, it will be louder than the door coming down. You can catch the door with your hand if you want 100% silence. Usually, if you have a large home, and the intruder is inside, you want to be as silent as possible not to spook them early since you don't really know their experience level or what they are packing. Silence is your advantage ;) You want to arrest or take down the intruder skillfully and fast. The medium-firm eggshell foam padding and the foam-lined shelf will ensure silent weapon removal. The built-in light nicely illuminates your stuff in the middle of the night.The soft padding also works absolutely perfect for locking family electronics (like phones, controllers and tablets) at dinner without putting a scratch on them. That's very nice!All Grimtron company's safes can be bolted down into concrete, steel, or heavy furniture to prevent carry-out in the event of a robbery (hardware included). The provided felt pads (also included with all models I tried) will prevent scratching expensive furniture finishes if you prefer to keep it on a desk or a shelf.I am very impressed with the company. The communication is almost instant, super friendly and highly professional. Grimtron takes customer service very seriously. Rigorous identity checks were done when I asked for a key replacement. Buy it. I looked at a lot of safes and read a lot of reviews before buying this and let me tell you, I am stoked I pulled the trigger. The safe is heavy, feels very secure and comes with everything to bolt the thing down to whatever you want to attach it to. The built in wireless charger is awesome since mine is bolted to my nightstand, so I can charge my iPhone, Air Pods, iPad, and anything else with wireless charging. You can use a code to open it or you can program every finger you have to open it so in a jam you don't have to try and use the exact finger. It really is cool. The price is fair for what you get and after all the reviews I am glad I bough this one. If you are on the fence, leap over it and buy one. What do you have to loose?

It's not a bad safe by all means. I wish it was a bit bigger so i can stand my guns up with the partition inside. Reason being i keep my edc gear in here so pistols, holsters, weapon lights, wallet, etc. if it was slightly bigger you can put the partition in, have your EDC gear in and a few pistols standing up + accessories and it would be perfect.The wireless charging is very picky so you'll have to position the phone in the perfect spot.

I've had it for about 6 months now and the safe doesn't work at all anymore. Can only open it with the key now. The electronics totally stopped working even with changing the batteries and plugging the safe into the wall outlet. It's been very poor since I got it and now it completely stopped working. I'd return it now if I could but too late. Don't waste your money. Save up and buy a better quality safe it's worth it.

This gun safe is compact can be secured from within..the biometric fingerprint scanner works very well as does the 4-8 pin keypad..im very happy with the safe!!

I had no issues setting up the numeric and biometric access. So far the fingerprint scanner is 99% effective for me.I bought this for my nightstand and debated between this size or the smaller one. This one isn’t as big as it looks on the product page so I’m glad I went with it. As a nightstand item the wireless charger is a nice feature and is what drove me to get this model. No issues with it charging my iPhone.I have mixed feelings about the shelf. I like the extra storage it gives, but it’s a little tight when removing contents, so if I needed to access my firearm in the middle of the night I feel like it would cause a few seconds worth of delay. I may cut the shelf in half so that I have extra storage in the rear but unobstructed access to contents in the front. Another item of note is that the electronic unlocking mechanism isn’t whisper quiet, so while you can silence the access code/ fingerprint beeps, you’ll still hear the safe open.Overall I’m very happy with this purchase and would recommend it. It delivers exactly what it advertised and its quality level surpasses its price point.

a huge part of the draw for this safe was the built in charger for next to the bed. its so finicky that if you get lucky to land in the correct position to charge your phone, chances are it will either randomly stop charging in the middle of the night (leaving you with a partial charge) or will fully charge phone which makes your phone super hot in the morning. after contacting seller, they said remove the case. itch much more dependable but who wants to remive a case to charge.biometrics work well and quick. numbers and key do aswell.battery backup was nice.
