I bought this 12mm desk clamp to replace the flimsy weighted plastic base that came with my lighted magnifying lamp 12mm socket of this desk clamp works perfectly with the lamp. The clamp is sturdy and the lamp no longer wobbles. I got this clamp because of the minimal footprint and low cost. I wish the silver lever to tighten the clamp was a bit thicker, however I suppose that will also prevent too much pressure being applied by the screw clamp. Great value and recommended!

It did not fit my project but perfectly serviceable for something else. If you plan on inserting something in the round hole at the top, be sure to measure the diameter of the hole precisely. I was off by a fraction and couldn’t use it for my intended project. But something else will come along.

The bottom press does not have anything to cushion the pressure, so it can damage your table underneath.

Worked fine, allowing me to resurrect a clamp-on desk lamp I hadn’t been able to use for quite some time. Fit the ½†stem of the lamp perfectly.
