I hosted a Halloween party and placed this in a recessed can light in my kitchen and it worked perfectly. The amount of black light that was emitted filled up a good portion of the kitchen.

It’s works great in a glass cabinet to displayUranium glass and was nice and bright made glass glow good but it only last about 4 months and for the price not worth it.

I wasn't sure about this, thinking that a single blacklight bulb couldn't possibly be as good as a 24" fluorescent bulb. But I was wrong. (Sorry, I won't let that happen again.)This thing puts out so much light it doesn't much matter where you aim it. It casts a broad and diffuse light anyway, but oh, man the amount of light this puts out is amazing.It's heavy and it gets warm, so be sure you use it in a solid receptacle that's rated for such a bulb (a standard lamp should do), turn it on, turn off the lights, and have fun!

It looks nice, and feels nice, and does work to illuminate fluorescent things, but just barely in my small 11' x 11' bedroom. I installed it in the ceiling, and it's almost too heavy for that. It really needs a dedicated lamp for it, but I'd choose something more powerful if you want it to light up your night with glowing details.It might work better for a smaller area.

I got this for Halloween. The light was adequate, and bright enough for my needs. I have no complaints about the product.
