Dell notebooks use a variety of holes for security locks. Mine was a T-Bar. This one fit perfectly. If you have a Dell, make sure you go to their website to figure out what kind of lock you need. There are 3 varieties and they are not interchangeable.

Crazy simple and easy to install/use. Done in 30 seconds (which mainly involving fiddling with the key). It's strong enough to deter any in-house security issues.

I bought one of these with keys because I could not remember the combination on another I had. I like this model so well I came back and bought a second one for my other laptop. It’s worth the investment!

Works perfectly. Sombody tried to steal the laptop but couldn't separate it from the locked cord. So it served its purpose.

Bought it based on price and description. The lock cylinder on the unit I bought had bee incorrectly installed where you couldn't lock it and remove the key. Apparently, the locking mechanism had been installed backwards and there was no way to modify it. Seller was prompt in refund but never heard any feedback from returned unit.
