The Black Plastic Cable Wire Carrier Drag Chain is a durable and reliable solution for managing cables in CNC machines and 3D printers. The 1-meter length is versatile and easy to install, while the bridge-type design ensures smooth cable movement. The end connectors are sturdy, providing secure attachment for cables. Its black plastic construction is strong, resistant to wear, and offers excellent protection for wires. The chain is non-openable, which limits flexibility in certain applications, but overall, it functions well for organized cable management in machinery. It's a great choice for improving efficiency and reducing cable wear in industrial and DIY setups.

I've got a laser engraver from of Amozon that works well but it's biggest weakness is cable management. This drag chain addressed that issue cleanly. The chain had plenty of length to allow full movement during operation. The links are easily removed to get a good custom fit. The center channel allows for all of my previously loose cables to be secures and free of snags and/or binding. This is a must have upgrade (in my opinion) if you have an engraver that doesn't have a custom enclosure.

This bridge-type drag chain is fantastic! It’s highly customizable in length and incredibly durable with its wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant design. It operates quietly and extends the lifespan of cables effectively. Perfect for industrial automation, 3D printers, CNC equipment, and more. The chain protects cables and ensures stable connections. Just note that when bent in a "U" shape, it might not lay completely flat due to prestress. Overall, a reliable choice for maintaining cable integrity and smooth operation. Highly recommend!

I ordered this cable drag chain for a CNC router project I am starting. It is perfect for that except for one little detail. As you can see in my pictures, it is quite small and there is no slot or other method by which to insert cables through the side, like most drag chains. The connector I am showing in the picture is just a 3-pin connector for and end stop switch, and there's not way it fits through. Much less the stepped motor cables, power cables for fans and lights or the power cable for the router itself (which I didn't plat to route inside the chain). So it you intend to thread bare wires through it, fine. Otherwise you would be better off with a chain which allows side insertion of cables or is a bit wider to allow you to thread connectors through.

I’ve been using this drag chain for managing cables on my N4+, and it works perfectly. It’s durable, quiet, and helps keep everything tidy. However, since it’s non-openable, make sure to check your cable size otherwise you might not get it installed!

This is a very small drag chain. The smallest I've ever seen. Bigger drag chains have openable links, this chain does not have that. Too petite! So, you will need to thread the cable through the chain. Depending on the connector / cable, you may have to put the end connectors on the cable after it is it is threaded through. I *think* the 4-wire A2001 end of the stepper cable may fit through, but I haven't tried yet. I will be putting connectors on after threading through and testing, rather than using standard ribbon cables. You will likely want to drill and tap to secure the ends, but short Philips head screws are provided for anchoring into plastic, along with a screwdriver that will help you separate the links / tune the length of the cable to your application. This cable is nice and quiet! So in operation your machine won't have a lot of added noise. Likewise it doesn't appear to bind, so it should give years of smooth operation.

My wires all have connectors on the end, and even the tiny connectors are too big to feed through this cable chain. I will use this on another project next time I'm routing bare wires. But for my laser cutter I'm going to be looking for openable cable chain.

I got this item with the notion that each link comes apart into 2 pieces but sadly doesn’t. It’s a good item for the right application but maybe not so much for 3d printers. Definitely can use it for other projects. Comes with way more than I would need. Construction of the plastic is really good. Very sturdy and folds up nicely. I don’t see this having any issues for any application you would need it for. Definitely recommend if it works for you.
