Don’t bother with this stand. Buy a decent one with tripod legs and a higher peg. I wouldn’t use this for any student or performance. The instrument is barely stable.

I specifically purchased this stand because the description said it was metal and the picture showed that it had pads on the side so it wouldn't scratch up the inside of the bell. It is not metal, the whole thing is 100% plastic. Also it does not have the pads shown in the picture. I will be returning this and getting something else.

This is an excellent stand for simple concerts and more! I like how it fits, it is not heavy or makes noise!
