Overthinkers and over researchers: This review is for you.I spent weeks researching single serve coffee makers about 15 months ago. Why? Because that’s what I do. If you’re on the fence, PLEASE read this and just order it. It’s worth it, spend the research time thinking about something else. Background: I’m no coffee snob. Too lazy and apathetic for a French press; I usually throw some Folgers in a goodwill or hand-me-down coffee maker and move on with my life. If you truly care about all the intricacies that coffee enthusiasts are passionate about, this probably isn’t the machine for you.I moved into an apartment with not a ton of counter space, and as a single (yet very eligible) bachelor, I wanted something easy and cheap that got the job done. I started mainly looked at coffee makers that were k cup compatible, but ultimately decided against it as the cost per cup is much higher with the k cups, and they take up more storage space in my cupboards. Plus, I like being able to control how much coffee grounds I use. I went with this one for a few reasons:1) Small footprint2) Brews more than most pod coffeemakers (16oz vs usually 12oz)3) Came with a mug4) Got one used here on Amazon on sale for $18I’ve been using it almost daily for about 15 months now, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Just throw water in it, put some grounds in (I use a leftover protein powder scoop that is the perfect size), and hit the switch. I have tried the Italian coffee brand coffee pads that are great if you prefer, and are cheaper than K cups. I timed brewing it with a full ~16oz mug for this review. Just under 2 minutes and 45 seconds until it shut itself off and I had a cup of piping hot coffee. I think it’ll drip a few seconds afterwards, idk. I don’t pay enough attention.Tip: to clean the grounds from the filter easily, I take both the filter and the plastic holder underneath it out together, dump the grounds down the garbage disposal, and cover the drain hole with my finger while filling and dumping out water to rinse out the ground remnants. Every so often, I throw the entire coffee maker in the dishwasher to clean it.I was concerned that none of my mugs would fit. Turns out all of them did except one bulky plastic mug. If it’s under ~7 inches tall, it’ll fit just fine. I have a sunwill 20oz mug from here that fits perfectly, and an Ozark trail mug from Walmart that fits great as well. One or two of my mugs have very wide bases that sit a little tilted because of the size of the bottom of the coffee maker, but it does not spill or hold any less liquid as a result and is still stable. I’ll throw in a pic with all the mugs I have that are compatible for reference.I recently thought about replacing this and revisiting the thought of buying a machine compatible with k-cups. After researching this (again), I have decided once again to stick with the B&D. It’s small, isn’t full of stupid features I won’t use, and is not noteworthy in any way — just dump grounds/water in, wait a few minutes, and move on with your day without even thinking about it. How it should be. I wish I could write more about it, but I’m out of stuff to say. It’s easy, it works great, and that’s it.Buy it. It’s a great value and does what it needs to do without any extra fuss. Take the extra money you saved and buy yourself a case of beer. You deserve it.

Can I just say that if you need to keep your coffee piping hot while you’re drinking your first couple morning Joe buy a bigger pot. This little 5 cup coffee maker makes two large 12 ounce mugs of coffee. It bruise it up piping hot and the flavor is great. For those customers complaining about the taste of their coffee I believe that to be a pilot error rather than the fault of the pot itself. Try different beans grinds or blends until you find something you like, but don’t blame it on the coffee maker itself. The biggest issue people seem to have with this coffee maker is the lack of a warming plate. How long does it take to drink 2 cups of coffee? I myself appreciate, not forgetting to turn it off and scorch it and for those that say that it doesn’t have a shut off, it does stop drawing power after it’s done brewing. So the heating elements do indeed shut off And you’re not wasting any electricity. I live off grid so this is important to me. I use mine with a smart plug and simply tell Alexa to turn on the coffee in the morning and by the time I’m up and have done what I need to do with my dogs my coffee is ready to drink. It’s perfect. What more do you need? I’m very pleased with this and the small amount of room that it takes up on my counter. I bought a second one as a back up just in case I break the carafe, replacing the carafe costs as much as a whole new machine.

I almost didn't purchase this due to the bad reviews. However, I took a chance since my 4-cup pot was gasping its last breaths and I wanted a little bit bigger pot. I purchased the 4 in one pot and no there isn't a heated plate, but its small, you pour your cup (giant insulated travel mug) and go. The point of having a smaller pot is you are going to drink it right away, so works for me.The second negative reviews I would like to address are how hot the coffee is: Granted it isn't as scalding burning your throat all the way to your stomach when you forget to sip that first necessary sip as my old Mr Coffee, but it is hot enough that you have to sip. The first pot i made was as hot as I would like because on the coffee pot level, there is air space between the pot and the filter so your hot coffee is falling through the cold kitchen air! (kinda poor design, yes but it is what it is). So, I improvised, I moved the tray up to the 'brew by the cup) level so there was no room between the filter and the pot, I did have to take the lid off and brew without it but no big deal. The filter sits almost just inside the pot then my precious coffee doesn't cool down as it drips (Genius!, well I thought so anyway ;) )The 4 in one does not have pause and serve but that is fine with me, I brew and go.I don't use the permanent filter which is WAY too small, it fits into my smaller coffee pot filter with room to spare, nope, not using that, I need way more coffee grounds than that thing holds! I put a small filter directly into the basket so I can brew stronger to my liking and it works fine.Overall this is a good little pot, I don't need a heated plate since I pour and run, and its just what I was looking for. Hopes this helps anyone else on the fence about some of the bad reviews.

I have had mine since 2017 and it's still going strong. So easy and perfect for me. No wasteful k-cups, doesn't take up much space and the price is reasonable. (I'm looking at you Keurig)

watch RVerTV drinking cup of tea

Yo no pienso usarlo, entonces no me afecta.
