Aaaaahhhh.....the joys of maintaining an old, gigantic D.E filter. I inherited the pool & the old school Folgers can from my dad, with measurements written in sharpie that had all rusted off years ago. It was obviously time for a change (or a tetanus shot).I randomly came across this measuring cup with a handle while searching for other ways to throw my money into the big hole in the ground.Impressively, it's the cheapest pool item I've had to purchase. And what a bang for my buck!Material: sturdy, solid & bright blue. Easy to see when it gets partially buried in the 60lb bag of white D.E.Design: easy to hold handle. Evenly distributed light weight. Can hold comfortably when not using the handle.Size: no more guessing, I need 12 scoops of D.E after a backwash.*Sharpie works great on it-measurements are written clearly on the side, in memory of my dad*Absolutely a great item to have if you must endure a D.E pool filter! I thought each scoop was a pound of DE. So I misused it for a while. Did some research and found it's only half a measure. Works well now. My ignorance, I guess, but no clear information on packaging.

It’s a Pre-measured scoop for DE, seems sturdy.Keep it out of the sun and I’m sure it’ll last a long time.

There’s not much to rave about a jug. This one has a long handle so it works well scooping out the DE powder. There is no scale, but that works since it’s 1lb when filled. I’ve had it for a few months, kept out of the sun and seems to be holding up well. No holes, no warping.

I used to work for a pool store, we sold and installed pools, filters, and sold all the accessories. That's why I bought this one, we sold Blue Devil products and they were always good. But the scoops being sold at my local pool stores are a good $10-$15 more expensive than this one, so I went with this one! And it's exactly what we used to sell in the store. Works perfectly with my DE or Perlite (DE is getting hard to find here). Easy to measure out the product, just fill to the top and you've got your pound! Happy with this scoop! Thumbs up from me!
