Purchased a "glimmerglass" 2x2 patch kit through Amazon back in May 2024 to prepare for the 2024 pool season, and I am glad I did. I had a visitor this week who brought their dog into my pool, the dog got a bit scared and tried to claw his way out of the pool instead of using the stairs (I think this was his first time in a pool, and maybe swimming in general). No idea why the dog's owner wasn't with him while this was happening, but that is another story.I didn't think anything of the dog going in at the time, because mine are in the pool every day and are (mine are 3 years old, but have been in the pool since they were 8 weeks old, know how to swim well, don't get scared by water and have never damaged the liner.) I assumed (my mistake) that the visitor's dog was accustomed to the water, or at least, the owner would be right there supervising their dog.Long story short, today I am in the middle of repairing a very big tear in the liner (looks like the dog, once puncturing the liner, got his claws in and got really scared trying to get out), and this patch kit is exactly what I needed. It has exactly what I need (the vinyl patch and a good sized bottle of glue/rubber cement).I will probably be using every bit of this 2x2 kit to repair the damage, and may be reaching out to Pool World for additional materials to finish fixing it (it is about a 3 ft long tear with additional damage close by).So, LONG LONG story short - get yourself a Pool World liner patch kit, and keep it on hand. You NEVER know when you will need it, and the peace of mind that comes with having the repair kit will help you to continue enjoying your pool in the event that something happens.----------------------------------------------EDIT - additional info, 8/12/24So, I hate to say this, but completely disregard what I wrote above.I wrote the above review just as I was about to repair the hole in the pool liner (i.e., had all the materials collected, understood the process, and was heading into the water to fix the issue). The LinerWorld liner material in the kit is a bit thin, thinner than what I have used in the past, and I thought that maybe it was just a 'newer' material, and should not make a difference.Once actually using the liner material and solvent, I realized I was completely wrong. The liner patch and solvent held for maybe 5 minutes, then just separated and floated away. I tried 2 more times (a total of 3 attempts to make this work), and each time was the same result. It would stick for a few minutes, but not permanently adhere. I have used patch kits before with great success, so I am pretty certain it isn't me.I did go to the company's website, and used their chat feature to leave a message for the owner to contact me, so I could see if maybe I was doing something wrong. No reply from the chat, no reply from the owner or from anyone else. All of this purchase went into the trash (including the pieces that just floated to the bottom of the pool and all the material I did not use).Just 1% of customer service, a simple reply to my request for help, would have likely saved a customer. Instead, I have moved on to another solution.

The patch liner sample was very thin and after you put the glue on it, it is as if it started to melt the liner patch. It made it very hard to handle and when you go to rub the patch to smooth it out the design melts away and doesn’t stick to your existing liner. I tried to return the rest of the product but no free returns and also not given full refund if you have used any of the product. So think twice before you try this product or to do this by yourself. It may work better on an above ground pool but not on my in ground pool liner. Hope this helps thank you.

It was easy to put on the pool patch, however you need to put it on the hole immediately after applying or it does not stick too well.

I'm trying to get another season out of our in ground pool liner and had one rather large, almost 16" long, tear in the liner slightly above the water line and figured 2' square patch material, excellent! Sharp learning curve for me on that... I tried making a patch that was 2' long to overlap the ends, applying the cement was tricky and the vinyl patch became difficult to handle and I kind of botched the job. So I decided to try breaking the repair down into 4 overlapping patches and that worked well. 1 big tear and 5 other small patches did the job. I recommend this kit. It's best to work on a cooler day so if it's summertime I'd do it in the early morning or evening hours. And yes, it worked well enough that I bought a second kit because I ran out of vinyl cement. The only thing I would like is that it packaged with two cans of repair cement.Follow the instructions and if making rectangular patches radius the corners with a sharp scissor. You want enough cement so that as you flatten it out the cement gets to the edge of the patch for proper adhesion and seal. It bonds pretty quickly but takes a day to cure. Again, follow the instructions and bring a clean work surface like a plastic cutting mat and you'll have a better chance of success.

Was able to cut the exact size I needed to patch the Out of ground pool, more heavy duty than most of the small patch kits . Have plenty left over if I have any other problems.

I had a 8 X 2 inch tear in my vinyl pool above the water line. I followed instructions and cut a piece about 15 X 8 or so and rounded the edges. Put patch on a piece of newspaper to apply the glue. By the time I had dipped the applicator three times the glue was beginning to set up and the edges were beginning to curl onto itself. I quickly poured glue onto the patch and went to spreading. The more I spread the more it curled on the edges. I was able to get it onto the liner hole and roll it into place and got it stuck down. It ended up working but does not look as professional as I had hoped due to the curling of the patch material and the speed at which I had to work. I guess time will tell if it works, but it is on there. If working with a large patch just be careful and work as fast as you can. The glue dries quickly.

Had a group of small holes in the corner of my pool. Applied it from the outside and it’s held water perfect. No leaks whatsoever!

I would give it a 5 but it's still leaking but slowly.
