I can't put my finger on it, but I don't love the feel of music over BT. This is my first BT receiver, so I don't have a baseline to compare to. In TF card mode, the the music is crisp, rich and vibrant in comparison. BT sound quality is OK for podcasts and background music, but I wouldn't use for HiFi.In Rx mode, the volume for both outputs is kind of low; I'd say 25% lower than other sources. I compared with the TF card in this device and my iPhone with the 1/8" headphone adapter. This receiver has a hidden volume control: long press the â® â (track) buttons. The 1/8" AUX jack is used for OUT in Rx mode and IN in Tx mode. The RCA jacks work as OUT in Rx mode, but I didn't test it as an input. This transmitter can transmit to Bluetooth-enabled *audio devices* such as sound bars and headsets. It worked with all 3 of my headsets. Make sure your device is unpaired and in pairing mode. Most devices have a "force unpair" button combo or long press. Or turn off BT on your phone to force unpair. The manual has a typo; here's what worked for me: 1) Set the switch to "TX" and double-press either of the â® â (track) buttons to call up the BT receiver list. 2) Single press the track buttons to page through the available devices. 3) Press the M button to select a device to pair to.It will try to reconnect to the last device when turned on.I couldn't get my iPhone or Mac to connect to it in Tx mode. Not sure if this is even possible.Gotchas and Details: â€¢Â âš ï¸ The bottom has two rubber strips that keep it from sliding around. Be sure to peel off the plastic covering these! • No battery. Must be powered by a USB power supply (not included). They recommend not powering form a hub/computer. • macOS and iOS don't set the volume of this transmitter. Volume works like Android where each device has a separate volume control. • Cannot seek within tracks • The TF card eject is forceful — careful that you don't lose your card • The USB power cable cannot be reused as a data cable • The USB-C jack doesn't support data • The TF player cannot play AAC files (DRM or no-DRM) • Every MP3 on the card is played as one long list, you can't navigate a large library • Sometimes, MP3 track names are displayed in truncated 8 letter DOS format (ABCDEF~1.mp3). • Wouldn't recognize my 512GB ExFat MicroSD card. Worked with my 8 GB FAT32 MicroSD card.Could be improved: • Higher resolution display or smaller typeface for track names • Black on black controls are difficult to read without bright light • Support thumbdrives via USB • Add TOSLINK input for Tx from TV to a BT headset

Garbage. Doesn't stay connected, and sounds terrible…a ton of distortion for some reason, even at low levels. However, I shouldn't be surprised for what this thing costs… Save your money.

Easy plug and play used to connect an old Logitech 2.1 speaker for work. I bought a second one for future use. :-)
