Works better than I expected. Used with a zip lock bag inserted in the canvas bag. This makes handling & unloading the ice even easier. Get one!

Great addition to any bar set. Makes great crushed or even “shaved†ice (if you’re willing to put in the effort). Good construction on the hammer and the bag is good too. Only downside is that the ice sticks to some of the fibers in the bag so pouring the ice out once done can be quite the undertaking. Pour over a sink to mitigate the mess.

Simple design, works everytime. Easy to dry out or throw into wash. Makes martinis with perfect little floating crystals of ice at home everytime.

I bought this when another brand's bag split after one use. So far, this seems more durable but the bag is a bit small. I received the original as a gift and was pleasantly surprised with the ease of crushing ice. This does not make snow ice but rather chunky. It lasts longer than snow, and is a nice addition to a cold drink. I would recommend based on usage so far, but only for small batches. I also used the mallet with a clean canvas tote bag for a larger amount and that works perfectly.

It does what it's supposed to do without making a huge mess. Also, feels kinda primal to crush ice cubes with a mallet.
