I’m new to bookbinding. This is the second set of boards for book covers I have purchased. Last one went back as it was to thin, even for a 5x6. Shipped with corner protection which was very nice. None of mine were damaged. The book I did use it on I used grommets around thread holes and it was perfect.

This book board is a nice thickness for hard covers and hasn't warped yet. I like the weight, and it's fairly easy to cut. While I didn't have any problems glueing the bookcloth to it, I tried to rub a dried drop of glue off later and it rubbed off the outermost layer of the board covering. However, as I was going to cover that with the end paper, I didn't mind. Still, if any part of this board will be exposed, it is a bit fragile.

When PVA glue is applied the top layer falls off the board… which defeats the whole purpose when I’m trying to create a book cover. Would not recommend for book binding.
