It’s great at minimizing dust and maintaining constant speed while under load. You can even remove the router motor to use it in router lifts or CNC machines that use a 4.2” diameter router motor. The heavy-duty, precision-milled base keeps all your cuts even from beginning to end, helping you achieve your best work.

This machine is a beast! I was looking for a replacement for my old Porter Cable 7518, and I'm glad I found this one. It fits perfectly into my router table and has some nice features. I like the soft start, so it speeds up slowly. I like the variable speed controller instead of the 5-speed like Portercable. The base is very sturdy! I my not us it very often but when I do it is very nice! Overall, I would recommend it.

Disappointed to say the least. We have had Porter cables for years and with them stopping production we decided to try the bora router. I have liked other bora products and was hoping this would fill the need. Our first use was bad, the collet was loose which made an awful sound and felt terrible which matched the cut quality. When we figured that out tried again still was not impressed. The bearings were whining and ever since new had an bad smell of hot electronics which lead to smoking. And possibly the worst thing about the router is that the cord in about 3’ long so you must always get out an electrical cord. After a couple months of using I would not recommend, poorly built, feels very cheep and cannot rely on tool in the field. At the price point of the bora router we went out and bought a makita plunge router for same price.

What a horrible waste of $$. 1.5 years old and the electronics and bearings are all crapping out at the same time. same stuff going on with all the made in china 3.25hp routers...including the new Milwaukee. What a shame Porter Cable discontinued their workhorse.
