Everything arrived as described, though the items were all packed individually instead of shipping in the bespoke case for some reason. Not a huge fan of the unnecessary waste.Seems to work well enough, but for having carbide tips I would've expected less burning when running at the lowest speed on the lathe. At this price though it's hard to deduct a star for that alone. The boring head seems machined well with good tolerances. If you need precise interior diameters on your lathe this kit will help get the job done. I used it to make wooden rings, but it would also be good for boxes/lids.

I bought this as an accessory for my wood lathe for turning accurate/ straight bores and diameters. It adjusts smoothly and accurately. I would highly recommend the first thing you do is take it apart and give it a thorough cleaning, for this price I guess they couldn't justify paying someone to wash the parts prior to assembly.

It works but has a lot of unwanted play and slop in it.

Out of the box the bits were rusted. Then the bits wouldn’t fit in the head, they were too big, great. After a bit of muscle and a rubber mallet I got it to fit. FINALLY, after wrestling with this thing I was able to try it. It was ok. If you need absolute accuracy then this tool isn’t for you. But for my use it works. I’m wondering how hard getting the bit out will be. I haven’t decided if I’m going to return it or not. You get whatcha pay for!
