I used the BOSCH Bits for drilling through ceramic tiles, and they worked well overall. The carbide-tipped design made drilling through stone smooth and efficient. However, I found that the bits didn't hold up as well when used on porcelain tile. After just two uses, I noticed some wear. They’re great for natural stone, but if you're working with porcelain tile, I’d recommend using a different set or taking extra care.

I though it would be a good idea to repurpose some old bedframes. I did not realize that they are hardened spring steel. Literally recycled railroad rails. I quickly dulled some very good bits. Am obscure forum recommended using a carbide bit made for natural stone. I made 4 holes 3/16 deep and could have done a few more.

Had to drill four 3/16ths" holes thru my brand new marble shower to mount the slide bar for the hand held wand. Took 5-10 minutes per hole at super slow speed with my Makita 1/2 inch drill. Cutting dry actually works better than dipping the bit in water. Bit does not heat up while using. After the two first holes I switched to a new bit. No wandering tip on these bits and they did not chip or crack any of the marble tiles. No chip out, perfect holes. I am completely satisfied with the bosch bits for cutting thru marble stone and the underlying thinset.

I bought this drill to use for drilling tiles in my shower to mount a new shower fixture. It took about 15 minutes to drill through one tile, after which the drill bit was so worn out the next tile took even longer. If you look at the product photos, the last one shows which materials it’s suitable for use with. I replaced it with a diamond hole cutter that cut through the ceramic tiles like they were made of butter. I can’t recommend this drill given the limited the list of materials it can be used with.

I used these tips to make several holes in my bathroom tile for my shower door project. I made a couple of holes before the tips gave up. I don't know if I used the right tip for making holes on ceramic/porcelain tile but these didn't last long.

I used these to drill drain holes in bowls in order to use them as flower pots. The bits worked great. They fit my dril lwithout any problem and are holding up very well. I have since used them for several other projects. The price was a value for me. I would recommend.
