It worked to keep my deep cycle battery charged that I use for my CPAP while I am camping. The clamps are a tad flimsy, but they are only used to grab the battery terminals, so how stout do they need to be? My only issue is that it didn’t plug into and seat all the way into the socket on my Honda eu2000i generator. It made the connection and didn’t vibrate lose, but was expecting it to seat all the way. Not sure if that is the intended design, a problem with the plug or a problem with the receptacle.

I “lost†the original cable somewhere in my garage, so I got this. It’s a perfect replacement for the original. Works fine, no problems.

People leaving one star reviews for products that don't fit their equipment is ridiculous. If you don't see a 12 volt outlet on your generator THIS ISN'T FOR YOU! If you didn't thoroughly check out the specs before you purchased the generator online, that's YOUR fault, not the product's. A one star review because it doesn't fit another manufacturer's generator isn't fair either. And, just because "Amazon recommended it" doesn't mean anything either. They're in the business of selling products and frequently bundle items in the same general category. A smart consumer can determine whether or not they can use the other items. I'm not real happy that Honda did away with 12 volt charging on the newer models, but that's still doesn't change the fact that this cable does work on generators designed to use it.Rant over.I bought this over a year ago. It's been out on several camping trips to top off my deep cycles and used to jump start a couple of trucks and hasn't failed to do what it's supposed to. Whether the wire is solid copper or not, I don't know and I'm not about to cut it open to find out. It works. I only dropped a star because the clamps are a bit on the flimsy side but, as long as they continue to grip the terminals, I'm okay with them.

I have purchased Bouge brand components in the past and have all been good quality, This cable for Honda generators is no different. I would say it's as good or better than the Honda brand cable, but costs less. I would purchase this again if needed.

Wiring is pretty thin-gauge. But then, 12V & low Amp - should be fine. New Honda generators of the same model 'family' dropped the 12V outlet. Sooo, get your 12V cord while still available!!!

Worked for a kipor ig1000 port, fit well and volts within good range. Added a fuse and loom just for safety . Clamps were far to close together to be useful.
