I purchased this fireback after we lost power with Sandy for a week with the idea it would make my fireplace interior look nicer and project warmth from my gas fireplace into our livingroom. After considering other heavier and larger firebacks which we thought would fit the space better, I decided to try this one for it's attractive traditional design and although it was abit smaller, and lighter it does the job very well of adding warmth to our room. It was somewhat less expensive also, but is very adequate and attractive. I would recomend it for these reasons!

Very attractive. But arrived with scuffs needing touch up. It definitely has no gloss or shine so not as pictured. I picked this one for my project due to the weight listed. It is NOT 19 lbs like it says in listing: It weighs 28.6 lbs on my postal scale. I touched up with semigloss paint and used as kitchen backsplash centerpiece. It looks great. One star detracted since image isn’t how it arrives and weighing more than says in listing. I still would recommend as it is great price and looks beautiful (once touched up).

It just arrived today, and I set it into my fireplace right away. It's a little shorter than I anticipated, so I decided to order the feet to raise it up a couple of inches. In the meantime I positioned it on top of the wood grate and built a fire. Impressive! I could feel the heat from a small fire 12 feet across the room, which is what I hoped for but didn't really expect.

We used this on the kitchen wall behind our stove. It added a perfect touch to our lake cabin. It is very heavy and nicely made. I was surprised at how raised the flowers are on the fire back. This was a great price!

Even though this fireback is beautiful and helps warm the room, I cannot use it because of the noxious fumes it emits. They give me a terrible headache and soil my white hearth and blue and white tiles so bad that it takes Goo Gone to get off the soot. I wish I had burned the fires before the return deadline arrived because I would have returned it. Now I’m out a lot of money for a product I cannot use.
