  • WHY THIS BOVEDA: The solution for balancing humidity in an instrument case in a drippy locale (50+% HUMIDITY YEAR-ROUND). Prevents warping instruments & the "musties" in your case. Protects fretted, bowed & woodwind instruments from humidity fluctuations to maintain ideal humidity in an instrument case. For use in Boveda Starter Kits or Fabric Holders. NATURAL INGREDIENTS. WE GUARANTEE QUALITY!
  • HOW HIGH-ABSORBENCY BOVEDA WORKS FOR MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: ABSORBS 3X MORE MOISTURE than Boveda 49% RH! Stabilizes the humidity within the ideal range—45–55% RH, even in extreme humidity. If the air inside a case is too moist, Boveda absorbs that moisture. If it's too dry, Boveda releases small amounts of water vapor into the case. Wide humidity fluctuations will cause the wood to expand or shrink, which puts stress on the instrument & degrades its performance abilities.
  • CHOOSE BOVEDA: Trusted by over 3 million people to protect & maintain items at the perfect humidity level. Boveda's the only patented 2-way humidity control solution with 25 years of experience. Using saltwater in our humidity packs, we provide the fastest, most precise humidity control in the market for wood instruments. When you invest in an instrument, you want to ensure you take care of it to produce optimal sound. Boveda is the only humidity solution that can do so within 24-48 hours.
  • HOW TO USE: Always insert Boveda packs into a protective Boveda Fabric Holder before using in an instrument case. Boveda Fabric Holders are available separately & in Boveda Starter Kits. Remove the clear plastic overwrap before using. DO NOT cut or open the brown humidity packet. Slip the packet into the holder. Place in case and close the lid. BOVEDA DOES THE REST. When High-Absorbency Boveda 49% RH puffs up, it’s time to replace the pack. NEVER MIX the 49% HA with any other %RH.
  • WHO IS HIGH-ABSORBENCY BOVEDA FOR: Musicians who live in year-round extreme humidity who struggle to maintain the right RH for instrument storage use Boveda HA 49 for acoustic & electric GUITARS, WOODWINDS & BOWED INSTRUMENTS. Professional musicians, band & orchestra leaders, instrument techs, music teachers, hobbyists & student musicians use Boveda packs for easy & precise humidity management in instrument cases. NO DAILY MAINTENANCE! WHY RISK A WARPED OR CRACKED INSTRUMENT OR MUSTY CASE?

  • YES! Always insert Boveda into a Boveda Fabric Holder before placing it in an instrument case. The fabric holder extends the life of Boveda plus acts as a liquid barrier if a pack is accidentally punctured.

  • NO!!! DO NOT OPEN the brown packet itself. If your Boveda arrived individually wrapped in cellophane, remove that plastic overwrap before slipping the humidity control pack into a fabric holder.

  • No, do not use Boveda in the same instrument case with other humidification products, as this will reduce the Boveda’s efficiency. Ditch the sponges and hoses. No more rewetting— Boveda works automatically to balance the humidity in your case!

  • Yes! Boveda makes a High-Absorbency pack to protect wood instruments in extreme humidity, prevent warping and curb humidity fluctuations when you’re in a dry environment, like an airplane or air-conditioned venue.

  • The Large Starter Kit is the right Boveda for an acoustic guitar, large woodwind or large bowed or fretted instrument. Choose a Small Starter Kit to use Boveda with an electric guitar or bass, small woodwind or small bowed or fretted instrument.

Why I Buy Boveda; It's made a huge difference; Work as advertised; A must have

I have been using Boveda 49% humidity packs in my guitars for years and have never had a negative experience.I live in New England and the humidity levels fluctuate with the seasons. All of my guitars are kept in hard cases with a hygrometer in each case. For my acoustics, I use two Boveda double sleeves, 2 packets in each, one hanging from the strings into the sound hole, and a second double sleeve at the headstock. I know, you’re probably saying that’s overkill but the humidity level in each case reads between 48% to 53% which to me is ideal. For my electrics, I use one double sleeve (two humidity packs) in each case. The humidity level in the case usually reads between 43% and 55%. To me this is fine since I am trying to prevent fret sprout more than anything else.Using the humidity packs the way I do, after the case is initially acclimated, I usually only have to change the packs about every 12 months. As mentioned earlier, I have never had a bad experience with any Boveda pack I have received. No leakages, no dry packs, etc. As far as storage, when I get a new order I put all of the new packs in a good quality gallon zip lock bag and keep them in a lidded clear plastic box until I need them. This has worked well for me.As far as cost, yeah they can be pricey but I would rather pay the cost of the packs than deal with shrinkage, cracks and fret sprout.

I own a few violins. Each lives in its own case. I don't trust the humidity gages in the cases. I have seen high humidity destroy these instruments. So a 5$ product to make sure they are properly humidified (each packet averages to about 5$ at time of writing.) is cheap peace of mind. Now - I bought a couple govee temp/humidity sensors - again cheap.Performance - starting at a relative humidity of 40% it took ~2 hours to reach 52% inside of a largeish oblong violin case. All these numbers are +/-3% because the measuring device is +/-3%. The past 12 hours the humidity has not moved - at all. Though the case is being stored in a room with a dehumidifier that reports 55-58% in the past 12 hours. So, in reality, given the range of error on the measuring device it could very well be 49%.So, the packet is pretty accurate, they fit inside all my cases, and they are also easy to open and toss in a case. All in all a very cheap and easy peace of mind for your fiddle (collection). The packets measure within their rated range as far as my instruments can measure.(As an aside, I use the large 49%, I never tried the small ones rated for violins. But the price difference between small and large isn't worth a suspected more frequent replacement. And I bought my first set from my local strings shop.)

Glad I found out that Boveda is the actual in house manufacturer of these packets and D'Addario is NOT. they are fortunately packed in their individual sealed plastic bags so no risk of drying out prematurely. I've been in Utah before moving to Idaho. Our humidity can run 15-35% on average over time. These keep the guitar at a nice upper 45+ percentage of humidity without fuss. My average change out lasts 3-4 months so a 12 pack comes in handy. I now have 2 find acoustics that I keep loaded with these pouches. There has been NO fluctuations in the action meaning the top has not shrunk nor bellied. They are doing their job. Sometimes the packaging Amazon uses can be cheap and the box can get a bit crushed. Fortunately, it's never caused issues with the pouches.

I used these products for my guitars and basses. Every instrument gets a two-pack of these humidity monitors in its hard shell case. I have many fine instruments and I rely on Boveda to protect them from the ravages of humidity and dryness year round. In an area with humid summers and dry winters, Boveda is a simple answer to the complex problem of managing humidity to protect expensive instruments.

This is the second time I have ordered this product. I had no problems the first time. This time I believe the length of time before they should be changed is much shorter and that the ones wrapped in plastic wrap are not strictly fresh. They felt a touch hard and not as fluid as before. I may give then a second chance if I cannot find any other brands.

I find it doesn't keep the humity in my instrument case at 49. I have a small humity release unit in the case but still can not get it anywhere near to 49%. Maybe get a higher and bigger versions?

Benutze die Packs um Sammelkarten, die falsch gelagert wurden, wieder flach zu bekommen.
