If you need to change the thread on the top,of your lamp harp, this will do the job. Good fit and finish. We had a pair of table lamps but one had a different thread from the other. This gizmo solved the problem so we could put matching finial on.

My lamp had the wrong sized threaded top and a regular finial would not fit. I had to attach this and a regular finial now fits. It's perfect.

Very nice solid brass and does the job. My only complaint is there is a slight lip on the top ( a very slightly raised section around the top shaft) so the lamp shade does sit flush on the top surface. If unless you have a heavy lampshade this is probably not a problem, but my stained glass shade wobbles a just a bit because of it.
