I use plug lockout boxes to prevent people from stealing my Christmas candy cane lawn stakes. If your main plug from the outlet is in a secure location (e.g. in a locked garage), or if you use a padlock to connect the lockout box to an eyebolt (I have an eyebolt on my porch step right near the outlet), thieves can't unplug the lawn decorations and will move on to an easier, faster target. I had candy cane lawn stakes stolen once, then bought a plug lockout box, and since then twice someone has unsuccessfully attempted to steal them. I wouldn't even put lawn decorations out if I didn't have a way to lock it out, since I live on a busy street and people come through every year and steal decorations. This lockout box is nice and large so you can fit between 2 to 4 plugs connected to the main extension cord plug. Makes you feel pretty good when you can outsmart a thief!

My neighbors would use my washer and dryer without my consent. They knew I didn’t want them to use them, but didn’t care used anyway. Well, after I purchase two of these, that nonsense was over and done with!!! So, happy with this product!

bought this to lock out a small valve, not an electrical cord, so it was a stretch that it would work, but it did the trick.

My son can still twisted the box and take the wifi plug out, I found out what has happened is because he can not put the plug back or maybe too lazy to put it back. So I would say the hole is too big .

Works great. I needed to stop family from using washer and dryer while I was not home and this worked. Just put the plunge of the washer in one side and the dryer plunge in the other and buy a lock . No more free washing.

It's a polypropylene plug lock - it goes on a plug and locks it out. Not much more to say.
