I'm a brake technician who uses specialized tools daily. DO NOT purchase this item unless you don't mind buying another to replace it. The 3rd time I used this tool the threads on the paddle slipped in itself and have cross threaded. Freed it up a bit then stripped the main cog. Do your self a favor and just buy the SnapOn version, SnapOn perfected it.

Even with pads opened at their widest position they weren’t large enough for the front calipers. It fit and did exactly as expected on the rear calipers.

Doesn't ratchet properly unless you hold the center with a finger or object , and does not ratchet properly till its actually got a force pressed against the outsides , kind of frustrating but still works .
