I used a square screw bit and an electric screw driver drill to wind the clocks.Works great with very little effort.Use a good quality drill. My cheap one would run the battery down before the first clock was wound.

If you have an antique 1800s mantle clock to a modern grandfather clock or wall mount clocks that require a key to wind and you have no idea which key size it uses...this is the kit, I have multiple clocks of different makes and eras and this set fits them all and then some, even has keys to adjust timing on clocks with that option.

I bought this kit primarily to check sizes on multiple clocks I am working on. My complaint is there is no way to keep the adapters connected to the key. A piece off tape wrapped around the joint works when I need them to stay together. It still works but isn’t practical as a replacement for dedicated keys. At least now I can check the sizes and order the correct keys when needed.

Most of the size selections don't even fit the key portion so once you find one that fits, now you can't use the key to actually wind it you have to use a ratchet screwdriver. The ones that do fit when you pull the key away the tumbler part that's fits the clock stays in the clock, they key portion comes off it. Not a great set up but at least I only have to get aggravated once a month to wind it, until I find a better solution 🙄
