This product works great and I have used it on countless projects over many years.The only reason this product wouldn’t work is, if the brass has a clear lacquer finish over it, thus preventing the chemical from getting onto the brass. In cases like that, you simply (or sometimes not so simply) have to remove the lacquer coating first. YouTube for how to do this - there are a number of ways.
