Your cart is empty.1/4" NPTF Male X 3/8" Hose ID X 5/8" Hose OD. This two-piece adapter has a male NPTF threaded end and a female barbed hose end to connect hose or fittings of different types. This reusable adapter has a barbed end to connect hose to a fitting using the removable threaded sleeve, and the other end has female National Pipe Taper Fine (NPTF) threads to connect to a male NPTF connection for a tighter seal than straight threads. 150 PSI maximum working pressure. -40° to 160° temperature rating. Not deemed lead free. Not for use with potable water. Please Note: NPT Thread size is NOT determined by its outside thread diameter in inches. Had a bad section on my old black rubber air hose. Cut it off with razor knife and installed this device. Worked perfectly. Has been is place for two months now with no signs of leakage or other issues. One important note: the threads on the piece that threads inside the hose are LEFT HAND THREAD. If you try to thread it in and don’t notice this, it will not go well for you ;-)

Installed on hose easily but though it seated flush, it slid up the hose when tightened fully. However, there was no leakage when pressurized and it held up under use. Economical effective way to save a hose.

Not often that a product works just right to keep you smoothly up and running. My air pressure hose died in the middle of a job. I had this product on hand to address this scenario. 5 minutes later, I’m up and running again. Will only work with 5/8†outside diameter 3/8†inside diameter hose which is the standard rubberized hose size. Cut hose crisply at 90 degrees. Begin to hand tighten the outer piece the opposite of normal rotation since it’s reverse threaded. No need to taper the hose. Be patient and the outer piece will begin to grab the hose. You may need a wrench/pliers to fully seat the outer part. Do not over tighten. As others have said, use some lubricant (like silicone grease or soap) on the inner piece to make install easier. Again, don’t over tighten. You’re done. Now, if that hose blows again, you can uninstall this part and reinstall it on a your freshly cut hose. If your hose is not currently leaking air, get this product to have on hand when the hose begins to leak.

It's a tight fit around my air hose but it works great.

This product was easy to install and works exactly as I needed. It does take a little time to thread the female fitting onto the hose but once it started it only took a minute to finish. I made the connection to a hose fitting using teflon tape and it works great and no leaks.

Good way to fix an expensive air hose. Also if rubber cracks again then it can be reused to repair over.

Outside fitting has to small of inside diameter and closes off hose so inner fitting cuts the inside of hose even with lube. Fitting is not recommended.
