High quality basket at a fair price compared to what I've seen them at retail stores. Looking forward to my first perfect loaf.

Love the baskets. Used it finally after getting my starter ready. Made my first loaf of bread, and it gave the bread a wonderful look because it made these flour imprints. Would definitely recommend these!

I am disappointed with these bannetons and trying to decide about returning them. On the plus side, the liners fit well in the baskets. But I always put my loaves directly into the baskets (after flouring with rice flour) and don’t use the cloth liners. The description said, “High Quality NO-SPLINTER surfaceâ€, but the surface has a lot of rough spots and wood pieces that look like they could come off in my bread.

These proofing baskets are well made and look like they will last. Only used once so far but the bread came out great.

I've purchased a dozen of these. Baking lots of sourdough breads for friends. Be sure to dust with rice flour to keep your dough from sticking. Great quality and nice size for a medium batard. I'm loving them.

Synopsis: Worked exactly as described and I would purchase again. Have an initial "packaging" smell but dissipated after washing the fabric liners and letting sit out for a day or so.Detailed: Purchased for making sourdough bread. These definitely help with shaping and I have been seeing better results. These absolutely should be checked over immediately after opening for any splinters, loose staples, etc. I did not have any issues, but some other reviews mentioned problems so I checked mine over before using them. Make sure to wash the liners prior to first use. I hand washed mine with soap then let them air dry. They shrunk very slightly, but I put them back on the baskets and gently stretched them with my hand to be a little deeper.Make sure to flour these prior to putting any doughs in them. I sprinkled flour in the center and slowly rotated, tilted, and shook the basket to spread flour evenly. I used my hand to spread flour to the higher corners during this process, then dumped out any extra flour. I will continue to use these and update if I see any problems emerge.

I like the oval shape better than round for easier slicing. Baskets may look small, but I use them with 500 gm flour breads. Fit fine.

Although one of the baskets was about 1.5cm taller than the other, these Proofing Baskets do the job fine. Both come with a cloth cover. I would recommend to others.
