Had to order 12" knife to use. Didn't come with plastic bread guard. Even after complaining and getting a replacement, 2nd one was still missing bread guard.

The polls are not that easy to move around they get stuck. It helped a little bit to keep the knife straight, but still was very difficult to cut and hold bread in place.

It was missing a piece, I think. The illustration shows what looks like a plexiglass piece to stabilize the end of the loaf. It was not included. I wanted to be able to easily cut thin slices of my loaf. I was able to cut one at a time but not easily. Might work better for cutting thick Texas toast slices.

Metal rods would not fit well into the holes to make it work. I sent it back.

It’s a good idea, but you would need a really long knife to cut a bread fully. Also, when I ordered it, it didn’t come with the plastic peace it shows it coming with.
