Living in a hard water area and having most of the water appliances stop only a few years after installing, I’m glad to discover a way to protect the bidet. Also glad that this filter works with other brands of bidets. I’m using it on a Toto with a Toto adapter. It installs very easily without tools. I would say a must if you are concerned with protecting your investment.

Bought a Brondell Bidet, didn’t know a filter is needed to keep the unit from damage. Luckily the unit was still under warranty. So cost to repair was bearable. Brondell recommended a filter to be installed when I got it back. Works like a charm and easy to install. Protect your investment it’s worth the money.

I have purchased several varied brands or makes of bidet filters over the years - - some less expensive than this brand. Curious, I finally sawed (they're harder to cut through than first impressions would lead you to believe) through Brondell and a less expensive brand. The difference, to say the least, astounded me (Picture: Brondell left and brand X right). The Brondell filter has what appears to be a packed charcoal mix inside; the less expensive brand was, for all intents and purposes, a hollow tube. The hollow tube had some sort of material ringing the inside and attached to the tube, but the center was nothing more than a donut hole. I'm not sure what this would filter, maybe a marble or golf ball?? In my view, it was well worth the extra dollars for the Brondell - - I want a filter that truly will filter the sediment, not allow it through only slowly to kill my bidet.

Just installed the filter so I can’t comment if it will do the job or not. I have semi hard water and this was one of the few filters that specifically mentioned hard water and preventing calcium buildup. Others posted comments about buying an adapter for the Toto washlet brand but it wasn’t clear to me at least what kind of adapter was needed or their recommendations on what to buy at the hardware store didn’t work. I took a few trips to the hardware store and even when everything was snug tight and heavily taped, it still leaked a tiny drip of water every few hours. Messed with it for a week trying different things. Always got close but still had tiny leaks. Finally found the exact thing I needed. Toto washlet hose 1/2” adapter. THP3141. Several places online sell it. Fit perfectly, hand tightened, and worked w/o needing anything extra. Save yourself from my headaches.

I recently bought this to use with a Brondell Swash 1400 bidet. This filter is really cool, especially if, like us, you're water comes from your own private well. I also think city dwellers would benefit as well, reducing mineral build up.Many other uses, as well. Also, DIY'ers might appreciate this as an under-sink pre-filter for a cold water filtration system. Easy to install, easy to change out. What's not to like?

Our tap water is extremely high in calcium -- we've replaced every faucet and shower head in our house at least twice in 8 years and some need to be replaced again. We've been researching what we can do besides replace things! So when we got a bidet and this filter was offered, I added this filter to the purchase. We'll be getting a water softener system but in the interim, I just wanted to prevent any damage.

The filter is of good quality but over priced. Due to repeated orders, I did an online search and found that the same item is sold for half the price direct from Bondell. And a 3 pack costs the same. It's much more affordable from the store, even if you pay a shipping fee. Free shipping is available for order over $100.

The filter arrived on time and well packaged. It is of good quality and fit easily without repositioning anything, not a drop of water leaked. My recommendation it that you went both seals prior to installation. Also resist the urge to overtighten.

Purchased this filter at the same time as an Amzdeal bidet unit we where installing at our cottage as the water supply up there is from a lake. Felt it prudent to filter the water unlike in the city. The hose ends & T fitting on the bidet are 3/8'' fine thread & the filter is 1/2'' coarse thread. In any normal installation w/o a filter this would have been irrelevant but in this case it necessitated a trip to the hardware store for a good 1/2 hr. spent finding just the right adapter and hoses to get it to work. In the end its all hooked up & works perfectly. It kinda negated the money I thought we where saving by buying a less expensive bidet. Had I known that this would have been an issue up front I would have simply purchased another Brondell like one of the bidets we have at home.

great filter. Live on an acreage and use well water. The filter should solve any problems that might arise as a result.
