Descent fix in my opinion.Way stronger than original setup on my old broom.Feels like it will last.My only suggestion is a bit longer bolts to fit washers on both ends(washers aren't included),to prevent bolt head to penetrate through the wood/plastic.

Heavy gage steel. Works as expected. NOTE this is only good for broom under 24”.

We have two broken brooms around here and I was tired of replacing the entire broom each time one failed. These brackets looked as if they might just be the answer. The base bracket has 2 elongated holes that allow a wider range of fit if the original holes are to be used. In my case there were no holes so installing was as simple as drilling holes and inserting the screws. Each bracket (there were 2 included) includes 3 threaded screws with locking nuts, 2 self taping screws and 2 rivets. I used the threaded screws and lock nuts. An additional screw nut is used to drill through the handle and lock it in place. Also included was a worm clamp for each bracket to squeeze the handle for a tight hold. The bracket is well formed but the material is questionable. Not overly strong so a little care would be needed to avoid smacking the broom head against something and twisting the bracket.Because these 2 brooms will only be used by myself and my wife, I feel that the brackets will last as we do not tend to become a little wild when using them. Best of all is I did not need to purchase a new broom and can get more use out of these.
