This mat came from the BROTHER STORE on Amazon FYI. Some reviews complained of poor packaging for delivery from a variety of vendors which concerned me. The SNC mats are expensive enough without being shipped in a sloppy manner. The Low Tack SNC mat came quickly in a sturdy box, with extra bubble wrap to protect the mat and prevent sliding inside the box. I don’t know if Amazon packed it or Brother but I certainly appreciate the thought and effort that went into packing my mat.I just recently purchased my SCAN N CUT machine and I needed this low tack mat because my intended paper is below the recommended gsm for the regular mat. I plan to do direct cuts first before trying anything with the Canvas Workspace. I like to use a lot of fussy cut ephemera for the tags, journal cards, pockets etc. which I use in my handmade journals. Update 10/22 I did some scanning and cutting on my new SCAN N CUT machine using this Low Tack mat and it worked perfectly!!! So happy bc some people complain when they use the regular tack mat that comes with the machine and their paper adheres to the mat and is hard to remove or results in a mat they cannot use bc mat is ruined. Read the manual please!!!!! Paper’s gsm MUST be appropriate for the regular tack mat….if not the low tax mat must be used! If paper’s gsm is correct for the chosen mat then you’re golden! Brother’s manual is very clear with photos/illustration and fail proof directions.

I grabbed this when I saw the sale price. While my original mat was still going strong, I knew there’d come a time when it needed to be replaced. It is identical to the one that came with my Brother Scan N Cut SDX125. I decided to used it specifically for fabric and bought a second one at this great price for a backup.

There had been a previous mix-up with an order for the same mat. I left a review for that order and the seller reached out to me. Made the situation right. And sent new mat to me at their expense. I will definitely be buying from them again.

USED DEFECTIVE ITEMS: First item was defective right out of the box with a well-known manufacturing problem and the second Item (sent as a replacement) arrived USED and OPEN - NO SHIPPING BOX. See picture attached.I give up. The first unit was used and defective right out of the box. It's a well-known enough issue that on the Brother website and in their manual is states that this specific issue (Feeder Lever Unlocked) requires the machine be taken to an Authorized Brother Dealer. Brother customer service was very pleasant, but there was nothing else for me to do other than return it to Amazon and try another unit. The return/exchange process was easy and the replacement HOPEFULLY NEW unit just arrived. WRONG WRONG WRONG: it's CLEARLY been used and returned to Amazon without anyone there doing an assessment of any kind. On top of it being a used and returned item - IT DOESN'T WORK either. :(This second unit just arrived:1) NOT IN A SHIPPING BOX - just as you would buy it from a shelf2) PRODUCT BOX SMASHED IN ON ONE CORNER3) ITEM IS OPEN - AS IN UNSEALED. THE TAPE HAS BEEN CUT on all three sides.4) NONE of the blue Safety Tape for protection of movement during shipping5) ALL of the bags of items inside have been torn open.6) The "extras" that come normally taped to the machine itself (with the blue safety tape) were found inside one of the opened plastic bags inside.7) The test cardstock is bent and already on the mat indicating that IT'S USED and didn't work for the original owner who RETURNED IT to be RESOLD BY AMAZON to me.8) the plastic protector is scratched, dented and bent9) there is no cardboard protector inside the machine that the instructions say to removeAaaaaand the coup de grace: it has the same LEVER FEEDER IS RELEASED issue that can't be resolved any way by the consumer. The machine must be taken to an authorized dealer. Seriously, this is right out of the box.I'm going to try it a third time and hopefully, it will be a good machine :) I've been researching and watching youtube videos for over a year and I really, really, really want this to work.

Love my Brother Scan n Cut cutting machine but these mats do not last very long so when I find them at a good price I buy them! Product arrived in original packaging plus in a box.
