Perfect fit for my garbage can. Its lid flew in the wind and was happy to find it at amazon. i couldn't use my garbage can without a lid and this lid saved me from buying a new trash can. Packaging was fine and quality is great.

I was worried when I first purchased this but after it was delivered went and put it on the trash can fit perfectly! I was so happy because if you go to Lowe's you have to buy the whole can. LOVE IT!

If I could only have the Brute or the lid, I would choose the Brute. I'm happy to have both, though. If I only had the lid, I might use it as a frisbee or something. I haven't yet tested how well flies, only how well it locks onto the Brute, and for that task it seems to do a fine job.At first I thought it was kind of silly that you had to buy the lid separately, but I've learned that Rubbermaid offers a variety of lid types (dome, funnel, can slot, paper slot, etc) for the Brute, and so it would be equally silly to force everyone to pay for a certain type of lid that they might not need. I find the lid satisfactory, but it doesn't get me excited the way the Brute itself does.

This is a quality product that goes with the recycling bin that we purchased earlier. It is sturdy enough to cut appropriate holes in the top for the various types of recyclables.

Bought it for a recycle bin with no cover. The cover offers the option to snap shut on both sides. This feature comes in handy on windy days.
