Light weight, charges quickly, easy to use, good instruction sheet, nice carrying case, comes with everything you may need. I see no downside to using this at the range, for accurate-at-the-moment wind speed measurement. If you are on a budget, this is a great buy. Probably as good as a Kestrel 1000, and for half the price!

I wanted to like this one... but the reason I can't is due to a design/programming flaw that pretty much eliminates the point of buying it for measuring airflow in cubic feet per minute.When you go into the menus, you have to use pretty much all of the buttons to scroll through there and make adjustments. If I had to compare it to anything, I'm back to typing a text on my old Nokia phone from 25 years ago.So I get into the manual and menus and I'm able to change the settings from CFM to CMS, and CMM. When I LONG press the button, it changes from square meters to square feet. So far, so good.So now I want it to help calculate the actual CFM of a piece of HVAC return duct. Easy example: 12" x 12" square duct, one square foot that I need to enter into the meter so that it will give me an accurate CFM reading. As soon as I press the button to start entering figures, it AUTOMATICALLY switches back to Meters. There is NOT a way to keep it set to square feet in this configuration.So I entered square meters to square feet (0.092903 sq M = 1 sq ft) conversion on-line, then entered the number manually in meters, then exit... and it has the calculation backwards. 1SQ M flips over to be 0.093 sq ft. WRONG!Good idea, terrible execution. This one is going back.

It is incredibly dumb that you have to enter areas by square meters and then it converts to square feet. It can't go ft to m. Dumb horrible design. Do not recommend

The BT-6000GH does NOT measure CFM correctly. The manufacturer says there is a defect in the PC board that they have known about for a month.

The menus on this thing are atrocious. They behave abnormally when modifying settings, entering values, or even just navigating them. I entered my measurement in FT and it switched to Meters! This happened every time I modified a value, which is extremely frustrating.However, if you push through that, it does seem to yield accurate measurements. It's just not worth the hassle with the menus however, it takes far more time and effort than it should. Cannot recommend

This is a pretty cool air speed reader. It comes with a nice storage case to keep the unit safe. Has a rechargeable battery that charges in under an hour. The display is hard to read without the backlight and needs to be turned on every time the unit turns on. Instructions were clear to follow and makes it easy to use. Needed it to test HVAC system and it did the job for me.
