I find this works decent with a normal cordless drill, but a lower geared mixing drill would work better and be less likely to make whipped cream out of whatever you're mixing if you accidentally pull the trigger back too far.I think the price is a bit high for the construction. The bit shank has some pitting on it from the factory and it's a very simplistic head shape, not any complicated helical bit or anything. It seems to clean a bit easier than metal ones, so there's that.

Very light weight and sturdy works great with my cordless drill in mixing the drywall mud. Just remember to go slow enough or it will spray out.

I have over the decades used cheap mixers from places like Princess Auto and that was always good enough. Until I did a self levelling floor job in my own home. Its super important to not aerate the mixture and get bubbles through the pail when mixing. A couple reviews and a video on you tube convinced me to spend the 35 bucks on a good tool that I could use on other things such as paint and so on. I have to say, it's worth the money. Keep the speed very slow and use a good drill or mixing motor with this paddle and you will not be dissapointed. Very good design and extremely good quality materials used to make it. This is the last one I will ever need to buy.

Like everyone says it mixes just right, it does not scrape plastic off the bucket and works fast. The mud scoop and tape buddy also work fantastic - if you need to do more than one room in the next 5 years then get all three.
