The Wrangler locking hood latches are of very good quality. They are more finished looking than the original latches. They fit perfectly and work properly. To install you need a 13mm wrench for the part that installs on the body and a 10mm socket for the part that installs on the hood. The Wrangler does not have much room to get the washer and nuts on the bolts. I placed a damp sponge in the opening below where the nuts screw onto the bolts so i could retrieve the nuts when dropped.

These look very much like the factory hood locks, except they actually require a key to unlock. Adds a small sense of security. They are made out of plastic, just like factory. They install the same as factory. One side was harder to lock. The locking blade was misaligned but I bent it about 1/16" and it catches properly. It accomplishes locking the hood without any flare.The only downside: the spring on the lock closes the latch. When closing the hood, you have to hold the latch open so the hood will close all the way. This makes closing the hood tricky unless you have a wingspan wider than the hood. I bent the spring out to relax the latch so it stays open wider.

I had same issue as one of the other November 2024 reviewers, where one lock just won't lock.I found the reason one didn't lock was because the locking "tongue" (the metal part that turns with the key) is too long on the failing lock, and shorter on the working lock.(1" on the working lock, but 1.125" long on the failing lock.)So, decisions, decisions. Return, or angle grinder.

The work great. Nothing i can complain about. Heavier duty then the stock ones on my 2023 mojave. Just make sure you dont drop any hardware into the fender area... the lower end of the latch installs are a bit tight for the finger. But... perfect product.

Overall the latches work well and I like the OEM look. I would give it 4stars for that. However only one month into the first winter the metal components (springs and pin) are already rusting. 👎. Looks like I’ll be taking these off and putting the originals back on.

Easy to install but one lock was defective. One lock will not lock. Kept pushing it in and trying to lock will turn when the key is in but for some reason it will not lock.
