I looked at so many mantel clocks and finally decided on this one. It's perfect in every way. Perfect size, perfect design, perfect time. Love the different sounds to choose from. Right now we are enjoying the Christmas songs! Love it. It's absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend.

So yes, the clock is beautiful. The songs are comforting and pleasing to the ear. The volume control is great to have. I actually returned the one I received from Amazon because it had a scratchy sound - probably just a fluke, it happens sometimes. But I found another vendor that was cheaper and purchased through them. That one sounded perfect. I would definitely recommend the clock. However, I would check other places first because you can find it cheaper if you are patient and look.

I have always enjoyed clocks that sound the hour but insisted on “real†chimes, whether bell, chime, or gong because of the poor “synthetic†quality of electronically generated chimes when they first became available several decades ago. Before purchase, I vetted the Buluva B 1680 very carefully and was surprised at how authentic its chime sounded. The “Harmonic II PLUS quartz chiming†produces a very realistic sound. I really don’t care about the corny tunes it plays but I am very happy with the Westminster or traditional striking sounds. The volume control offers a wide range of loudness settings and the night setting is great. Plus, it keeps great time and has a beautiful classic mantle clock design! If there was one feature I would add it is this: You can’t set it back an hour to adjust to standard time from Daylight Savings time; you have to crank the hands ahead 23 hours, stopping to let it chime every hour. That’s a bit of a pain but only needed once a year. I like the swinging pendulum although it does seem to go much faster than an old-fashioned mechanical pendulum; I'd prefer it a bit slower. All in all, though, I’m very pleased with my purchase.

I have wanted a mantle clock all my adult life. This clock was affordable. Beautiful. And the chimes Reminded me of living in the Midwest when the church bells would ring

We bought this clock for our anniversary. The case is very attractive and the motion of the pendulum is quite tranquil. But best of all is the amazing tone of the chimes. It sounds like a much larger clock. Play Windchester chimes and strikes on the hour.

I bought this clock because I liked its looks, plus I have 2 other Bulova wall clocks in my house which look great and keep accurate time. Initially I had a problem with the strike being out of synch with the hour. Since there is no "Troubleshooting" section in the owner's doc. I contacted customer support via email and they addressed the problem. They even offered to send me a new clock if the fix didn't work. So I now have a beautiful mantel clock that works as designed.

This is a truly beautiful clock. The quality is obvious, and Bulova’s reputation speaks for itself. I grew up with a similar clock, and was happy to find this one. I am going to return it, however, because the swinging of the pendulum is quite distracting. We placed the clock on our fireplace mantel, and it keeps catching my eye, which is just annoying. I’m very disappointed in myself, not the clock…

I bought this for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. You can have a plaque engraved too. It's pricy but really worth it. You can see the quality in the wood and design. Just be careful when setting the time. The arms are sensitive. Follow the instructions to a tee. Overall, very pleased and my parents were happy too.
