Had to replace an old single cup brewer for ground coffee. I like very strong black coffee and this one is good for that. This machine does not have an on/off switch so I connected it to a watt-hour measuring plug-in to see if the "never off" function was going to eat a lot of electricity. Over 13 days always plugged in it used 4.86kwh or approximately 16 watts or for me @$0.15/kwh it cost 5-1/2 cents a day to be always ready to make one cup per day. A tiny plastic part was missing and I called Bunn and a few days later I got another whole brewing cup for ground coffee. Whats not to like about this?

I thought I had to return this coffee maker. My unit would not go into energy-saving mode. The hot water tank would stay hot as long as the unit was plugged into the wall. Per the instructions, this unit should reduce the hot water tank temperature after 6 idle hours. Well, I called Bunn tech support and found that the energy-saving mode can be toggled on and off. You have to remove the coffee tray and hold the brew button down (20-25 seconds) until the light starts flashing. That was it, now my MCU coffee maker goes into energy-saving mode.

I bought my first MCU in 2015 and it lasted me eight years and I loved it. It finally died and I was happy to see that Bunn has started to sell these again (they were off the market for a while).Bunn has really cut corners on the new model. The least of which is the lack of drip tray. The first new one I got leaked like a sieve after brewing, with water continuing to drip from the spray head. I had replaced the spray head on my old one a couple of times (Bunn used to send out new ones for free), so I know how to remove and reseat. I thought that might be the problem but it was not. I returned that unit and took a replacement instead of a refund. I now have the second unit and this one does not finish the brewing cycle with the required blast of air to get all the water out of the K-Cup. Resulting with a K-Cup full of water when you remove it from the unit. A real mess. This one is going back as well.Another instance of how Bunn has cut corners is that on the 2015 model, the K-Cup holder was Stainless Steel on the outside. The 2023 unit- good old plastic. If it was still 2015, I would be giving this 5 stars and recommending as a buy. Unfortunately, in 2023, I say stay away.

Great coffee maker that isn’t too pricey, but isn’t cheap. Well worth the extra bucks for quality. It’s a sturdy machine that’s great at ground, cups, tea, and just plain hot water. Heats up really fast and is easy to clean.

This is my opinion only and this is what they are asking in this review. I love my coffee and don't always want to make a full pot to have one cup of coffee. This is why I have always had a single-serve unit. I started with a Keurig, change over to a ninja, back to a Keurig, and noticed that the coffee makers are not as well made as they were when I started using them. My full pot coffee maker is a Bunn and I love my Bunn. When my Keurig broke down again my husband and I decided we would not buy another. We started researching Bunn for a single-serve unit. Nothing came up on Amazon so we went to the website and glory to be told they had a unit. After researching the product and all the high-quality features we bought the BUNN MCU My Cafe Single Cup Multi-Use Coffee Brewer. I am so impressed with this machine. The coffee comes out hot every time, you can adjust your taste, easy to use and cleaning is a snap. When it arrived we notice right off the high-quality craftsmanship. I love this machine and wanted to let everyone know, that you can find a high-quality single-cup café that will stand up to everyday use and one easy step to clean. If you are an adamant coffee or tea drinker this is the machine for you Thank you Bunn!!!!!

Back in the day of drip coffee, I had several Bunn coffee makers. I love my coffee really hot and Bunn delivered. Now, the consumer makers always struck me as cheaply made, the opposite of their commercial line. I got this after having many kcup makers. I LOVE the coffee and it is hot so you can enjoy your cup without drinking it quickly. Again though, like previously, the masters of coffee makers produced a poor quality retail consumer product. This thing seems cheaply made and with a high price tag. Worst of all, it does drip and spray water, but does not come with a drip tray. A drip tray will cost you $30-75, which is outrageous. So in short, I love the coffee this thing puts out, but it is messy, above a reasonable price point and just appears to be cheaply made.

Bought this to make individual servings of coffee. Started out using ground coffee. Happened to have some K cups on hand though and have used it for that. I swear to you the k cups taste so much better in this than anything else. I use the pulse button for every brew. Perhaps that helps? Perhaps the water temperature helps? Perhaps the stainless water reservoir? Or, perhaps all of the above. 4 stars as the coffee is overall sufficient and acceptable for home brew … however coffee snobs may be disappointed if one were to talk it up too much ;)

I've found with the crappy ass water that we have living close to the beach that a mixture of 75% distilled water and 25% filtered Brita water works well. They say you can't use distilled and that is true as the sensors in the top tank won't know it's there but with only 25% filtered city water it works well and keeps the scaling to the minimum

This is a fantastic single use coffee maker. I have used my first one for over 10 years. Only reason I bought new one is because the brew your own blend attachment has failed. I have made several cups of coffee every day for over 10 years. I also use it several times a day for hot water. Perfect temperature for herbal teas or just when I need a hot but not boiling bit of water. I live with hard water so I descale about every 3 months with just white vinegar. When I first purchased came with only one attachment now it comes with additional 3 for the same price. I strongly recommend this coffee maker.

This is our 2nd BUNN My Cafe Single cup brewer, our first, which was used almost every day for app 7 years died. Cost of the new machine was $100 more but it's been well worth it!
