These are very nice and heavy with really good pre-seaaon. No assembly necessary. Amazing deal for the money. The food grade silicone covers are intended to protect the seasoning while stored; however, I leave them on when cooking with nonstick cookware to give the pressing effect I need while also protecting my more delicate pieces. This works like a dream, and the clean-up is super easy.

We recently started making Smash Burgers and I found it very difficult to get the edges crispy using a spatula. I chose this Burger Press because it is the heaviest one I could find. I also use a cast iron skillet with ridges to form grill marks on the meat. Spray the Skillet with oil or pam. Place the burger press in the skillet and heat it on the stove or grill. Take your seasoned hamburger patty and divide it in half to form two meat balls. When the skillet is hot, place the meatball in the skillet and press it flat with the burger press. Leave the Burger Press on the meat during the whole cooking process. Use both patties to make your burger. You will have the crispiest, crunchiest, delicious smash burger! C'est bon! Bon Appetit!Have a blessed week,Richard Wendrock

I got this set along with some other Blackstone accessories for my husband and I really like it because it has the nice orange covers for the bottom one not in use. Excellent quality.

Recommended for Smashburgers and that is great it actually helps cook the top side at the same time from the heat

Exactly as described. Nice and large size, but a bit heavy for what I wanted it for. For example, I used it to make quesadillas, but it squeezes some of the cheese out due to its weight. However, it is a sturdy product and worth the price.

These presses work great. I'm not sure why anyone would buy the name brand for more money. Cast iron is cast iron.
