This performs a relatively simple function. I applies a (relatively) heavy weight evenly across a slice (or three) of bacon.I took away one star because my hands are about the same size as the handle, which means if I've left the press on the pan for more than a minute, and then don't get my hand EXACTLY centered on the handle, part of my hand (or fingers) will touch the cast iron riser coming from the plate to the handle.This probably isn't an issue for most people, but if you've got large hands you'll want to be careful when you grab this while in use.

I recently got a Blackstone and have been cooking on it every day since I got it. I have been into making all sorts of smash burgers and tacos and anything else I can think of, and this has been perfect! It was extremely affordable, came in no time and does the job. It is high quality, so I don't feel like it will break if I push down on something hard. It is easy to clean and does just what I need. Absolutely a must have product.
