We bought this for our daughter in law to utilize with the grandkids shoe sizes. Today there is one and she is just beginning to wear shoes. I used this to figure out my growing teens foot size. Used it on myself first to gauge accuracy. It was showing half an inch larger than what I am. So just took that into consideration when measuring his foot.

If you order shoes online now (like everyone), it's handy to have one of these, especially if you have kids who have constantly changing sizes. These are inexpensive but lightweight, easier to store than a big metal device, and do the job. Unfortunately, the only downside is that they have no width measurement. That's kind of a shame; it seems like it would be pretty easy to do, and it's hard knowing if I'm an E, a 2E, or a 4E. Sure, once I find out, great, but it would be nice if it were printed here already.

I find the measurement device a little difficult to read based the the white plastic end piece that has a lot of sideways movement in it. In addition, the device does not measure foot width to determine if a size E, Double EE shoe is needed.
