Just some quick additional instructions/tips. The booklet that it comes with is just 4 drawn pics. None of the additional items are described or named at all. So the magnifying bar doesn't magnify huge. But, it is good for not only marking your spot on a page if you're typing. But also to hold the page down if you're outside working in the wind or your ceiling fan loves to blow pages around like mine does. Also, I didn't know exactly at first why this bar flips up...duh...to make it easier to switch to the next page if you have several clipped onto the board. Then there's the block on the right (as you're looking at it) Is it just a pen holder? Actually, it you mount it closer to the bottom (unlike the picture here) it serves to also "lock" the backstand. Otherwise, it will collapse rather easily.SO yeah, this thing works great for transcribing. Just what I needed.

I broke 2 little pieces off when I set it up but I think that was due to my over zealous use. Still working fine for holding my crocheting instructions.

Order this to use at work, works well for the price. Don't expect a whole lot, but it does it job. It's a simple stand with a slightly magnified arm/clamp. Assembly is required when this item arrives. Be careful when attaching the pen holder as mine broke while trying to slip it on. Made no difference to me as I had no intention to use it. Includes foam stick on pads to help keep it from slipping, however they are thick so it causes the entire unit to sit up and making it a bit unstable. Overall for the price it works and is simple. Looks pretty good so blends in with the work environment.

It works for just what I need it to. It's like a clip board with a kick stand, which is just what I wanted. PLUS the bar that highlights, magnifies, keeps you in place and holds things down. also has a handy dandy pen holder. It's light and portable. (almost a little too light) It will stand up if you flip it over on it's side in Landscape but, you might be better off turning your paper into landscape and just clip it it, that'll keep it closer to the top and better for your viewing pleasure. I will recommend this to anyone who needs something like it.

Okay I got these very cheap. So I have no quibble about the price. Really an excellent price. But they were more complicated than I thought to put together. All you really get are step by step photographs, and my document holder is still incomplete. But I am used to it. And my goodness, do I appreciate the clipboard aspect of it.No deception on the seller's part, but this product is really not small. It takes up a lot of room. Like putting a full-sized book on your desk, and unlike most books, you really shouldn't put it down - because then it will consume more desk space. So yeah, it really is not convenient.Decent product if you have a super-massive desk - or desk space, but just grateful that I didn't pay more than I did.

Since the COVID-19 quarantine began the computer has taken up more and more of my time. I teach online, attend classes online, arrange music to be used by students and ensembles, and when I am editing copy for an already written source it is healthier for my neck and back to have papers upright. They are easier to see, there is an attachment that keeps the paper flat. The unit is lightweight, folds up for storage, is a good thickness for stability, and best of all it is not very expensive. Assembly directions were pretty easy to follow, too.

When I'm transcribing a particularly interesting document, I go into a "zone" and miss everything around me: I don't notice it getting dark outside and forget to turn on the lights until my eyes hurt, I forget to take lunch, and sometimes I forget to move. I keep a heating pad in my office because my neck aches so badly by the end of the work day.Easel document holders do make a difference. You don't realize just how much, though, until you have to work without one. There wasn't one at the desk I was assigned when I was hired, and the pain that first week was horrible. By the end of the week, I decided to buy one out-of-pocket. The following Tuesday (YAY Amazon Prime!), I had it and, once I'd labeled it [as my own], I brought it to work. The difference was amazing.Of note: the clip is nice and strong. At least twice in my career, I've had document easels with flimsy clips, and wound up using binder clips to hold my papers in place. Also of note: the guide bar didn't break when I put it together.Reading attorneys' writing is bad enough. At least this way, the briefs aren't as much of a pain in the neck - bad pun intended.

This document holder appeared to be the final piece of the puzzle that I needed to complete my home office. I was lured in by the low price and promise of One-Day Delivery, of course. The first hiccup was not getting it on time, but that was not the seller's fault, that was on the shipper. The reason for one star is that I have used it for a total of 4 days on my desk and it broke when I sat down and re-positioned it, this morning. The small pieces on the back that keep the bar from extending too far appear to be glued on and not very well. On the days I did use it, the bar would slip on the desk, but those pieces would catch and stop it. I would also note that I never asked it to hold more than 1 piece of paper that use as a daily reference. Additionally, I have no pens that fit in the handy pen holder, and I fear that trying to get one to fit may have broken things sooner.Overall, yes, it is lightweight, but it is a disappointment otherwise.

Esta bien , pero prefiero el que está en vertical asà puedes tener el libro abierto y se detiene mejor, para hojas si es funcional pero para libros o cuadernos , no

The only problem was the vertical slider is a bit stiff. To make it 'one finger' usable just put a little 3 -in-one oil down the inside of the channel where the slider fits, don't over do it. Don't use any other form of grease as these harden and we are back to stage 1 - otherwise a very good and smart piece of kit.

I received the package ahead of time, it was well packed and the product is of good quality. The holder is only suitable for A4 size papers.

I am very particular when it comes to my office supplies. I had a great document holder a few years ago but it got lost when I moved. I've been using an iPad holder since then, it was very inconvenient and irritating. This document holder soooo much better! The clip holds a 50 page document no problem. It was really easy to put together. I know I'm a dork but I've literally been showing it off to all my co-workers.
