I just finished my first project using this edge painter, and I am very happy with it. This project had lots of edges to do, and I had minimal issues with getting paint where I did not want it. It holds a good amount of paint, and rolls easily across the leather to give a nice even spread. I used fiebing's edge kote with this, and was happy with the results! I would give the end a good rinse after I was done with an edge, which kept the paint from drying on the tip. If it dries, it can be a little bit more work to get clean. But a good rinse, and it was good as new waiting for the next edge to be ready for paint.

I needed a replacement for my edge roller. This one is much nicer than the one I had. I like that you can unscrew both ends and actually clean inside if you accidentally get edge flex inside the shaft. If I had been able to open the one from the leather store, I wouldn't have needed to replace it. The metal is easier to clean than the plastic one I had. It rolls smoothly and gets the job done. I also love the color choices. Over all, I would say it's a great tool for anyone doing leather working.

This roller works perfectly with the fiebings edge kite. Was able to do the edges of my vintage LV six key holder. Also used on my vintage LV Sara wallet. Easy to use and apply. Looks great. Great price point.

Worked great!I'd give it 5 stars but I washed it with water and I guess the bearing inside rusted a little and it would roll well.I took it apart and clean it well with some oil and back to rolling smooth again. Now I just wipe it off instead of washing it.

It has worked very well for cleanly edge painting my leather works. I like that both ends open so that the inside can be dried after washing.

This gizmo is a game changer for applying edge paint. Hands down. Way better than using an awl or some other implement.Long term durability seems to be a concern though. Most of the edge paint I use is water-based acrylic, requiring cleaning the tool up under running water and laying it out to dry. After about 2wks (appx 10 uses) of this I found the applicator head to be seized up.Problem--rust.There's a small roller bearing inside the handle, fit into the lower cap. It was stuck. I had to work some all purpose oil into it, which helped, but it definitely doesn't work as well now as when I first received it.I'm at a loss as to why a stainless steel bearing wasn't used for something that needs to be continually rinsed in water, but lesson learned. You get what you pay for.

Didnt own one and needed one for leather , I like that it makes dying the edge of leather easier and would purchase it again.
