When I started my new 500 sq. ft. composite deck, a little on-line research recommended installing "joist tape" for water protection AND to avoid squeaky deck boards. It was just another item on my list, until I needed about 45 feet more of the stuff to finish my stair treads. A quick trip to Home Depot for an expensive 50 foot role of Treks' joist tape made me realize the Felizshop product was a considerably better product! The Felizshop tape was less expensive, 4 times thicker, applied flatter, had better adhesion & didn't curl up or tear when sliding deck boards around. I have already recommended the Felizshop Butyl Joist Deck Tape to others. There may be better products out there, but consider this your research!

I have used various brands of joist tapes (I do a lot of decks), and this is the easiest to use. This tape is easy to remove the backing to expose the sticky stuff, it pealed off nice and totally. It made it much faster to apply.

Like other reviews say, tape could be a bit slippery compared to other brands but it’s a great value and does what it supposed to.

I reodeed what I thought was the same thing and they sent absolute crap. Do not buy the tape where the peel off layer that protects the sticky side is grey. It pulls apart as you try to pull it off and is very difficult to use. Absolute trash. The first rolls they sent to me had a clear film that was much easier to work with. Inconsistent products don’t roll the dice look elsewhere.

This tape is rubbery, thick, and really sticky.I like that it's 2" wide, too; it will wrap around the corners and fully protect your framing joists.Highly recommend!

Grey backing on tape keeps ripping into two to three pieces. You cannot just peel off backing and lay it down. Every time you have to keep stoping and striping extra backing that does not come off. It takes so much extra time that I would not buy product again. Time is money.

The new grey and black backing is garbage and is thinner than the previous backing.It tears and peels off in pieces, even when pulling straight. Please go back to the original backing or I will be buying another brand tape for my deck restoration business!
