I know that many photographers poo poo filters, especially UV on digital cameras, but I use them primarily for lens protection rather than light filtering. I detect no difference in photo quality, but perhaps there is a slight reduction in glare, especially near water. I have thrown away a few filters after scratching or breaking them while the lens underneath went unscathed. A hundred bucks to save a $2500 lens is absolutely worth it.

B&W makes superior filters. If you buy an expensive lens you should consider buying a filter of similiar quality. I have never been let down by BW

Purchased this B+W UV filter to replace the fake one that I purchased back in October 2015. Ran the 6-digit code and it came back as valid - genuine B+W filter! This time around, I purchased this directly from Amazon and not through one of their Third Party Sellers.

First things first. I ordered two of these a little over a week apart because I bought a second lens. The first filter was perfect. Got the second one in a sealed B+W box in the leather pouch just like the first one. It was supposed to be a 77mm filter and it was labeled that way. However, the filter inside was a Hoya 62mm filter. No idea how that much of an error happens.The quality of the filter is good, even if it is a little pricey. I have generally always used B+W, but I am not sure the premium price for this UV filter is worth it, especially when they seem to struggle putting the right one in the box.

Item arrived dirty. I was able to blow the dust off, but it had a slight foggy haze on the surface that I was unable to remove. Had to return it.

Ne ho provati di filtri ma questi rimangono una garanzia, sottili fanno il loro lavoro egregiamente.. poi se provi a fare foto in una discoteca si vede subito come il uva funzioni molto bene esaltando i colori e attenuando l'Ultravioletto. Per me il numero 1 anche se paragonati con alcuni più costosi (li uso su materiale come il Canon Rf 50 1.2L e vanno alla grande.)
