I requested this 60-amp breaker from the Vine program as a spare for a critical subpanel. As a spare, I have not been able to test it under load; however, it appears to be identical to the OEM part and it has appropriate continuity. When in the ON position, there is no appreciable resistance between line and load side. When in the OFF position, it shows OL (open loop), indicating that the meter detects no circuit, which is expected. There is what appears to be a gritty epoxy-like material behind the load-side terminals that I have not seen on CH-compatible breakers. This material may be there in those cases, but perhaps it is hidden by casing or stickers. I am not sure what to make of it, but it might be perfectly normal. It appears to have been injected through a small opening just above the screws. You can see it in photo #6.

This is a quality replacement 70A 240V Circuit Breaker or a new 240V circuit breaker at a great price! For Cutler Hammer electrical boxes like the one you see on the picture. With 70 amps and 240V this is a perfect breaker for a Level 2 EV charger with a 220V outlet on a dedicated circuit. Level 2 chargers are the most efficient home charging option and are also the most common to find at free charging stations around town. Level 2 chargers use 220 volt outlets, which is the same type of outlet where you plug your dryer.Keep in mind that the National Electrical Code requires an electrical circuit to be rated for 25% greater amperage than your charger's output. For example, if you want to buy a 50-amp Level 2 charger, you'll need a circuit breaker that's rated for at least 60 amps. Regardless of your application, this circuit breaker is a must have and a great deal at this price!

Hard to snap in, poor design. Close but no cigar. Price is good but due to the bad fit leads me to wonder if the breaker will work properly if there would be an overload?
