I've used well known brand name punch down tools for years and after misplacing my kit tool I figured I'd save some money by ordering the Cable Matters tool as the old one would reappear once this was delivered. Well, the Cable Matters arrived and my old one is still missing but I like this new one so much I don't care.Simply put: Good solid punch down tool, very good blades and convenient picks at a good price. Win Win.

Works like any other punch down tool I've used. Feels very sturdy and well built. It works just fine for the few times a year I'll use it.

While a bit pricey (especially compared to the little free plastic punches that are often included with bags of cat6 jacks), this thing is built to last. I got it because my last cheap plastic piece of garbage final broke. This thing will never break. The cutting blade isn't perfect (none of the wires were completely cut) but with just a few jiggles of the wire with my fingers, the extra wire snapped right off very cleanly.

Used to punchdown keystones for the caballing in my entire house. Works really well. Can't figure out how to release the spare blade or switch from 'Low' to 'High' mode.

As someone who's worked in IT for 45+ years and connected thousands of wires and connectors, this is by FAR the *worst* kroning / punchdown tool i've ever owned. Even the cheap £4.99 ones will outperform this.No wire guide, a useless (and i do mean useless) cutter just makes the job more tedious than cabling already is.Returned. Absolutely rubbish.
