Excellent product. For home use, so I surface mounted this using 4 spacers. #14 screws and some 1/4" ID steel brake line (slightly flared at each end) worked perfectly. I used a TRENDnet punch down tool, flip the panel the short way and mount on the spacers, makes it solid and easy to punch down all the connections, then flip it back and mount it. Super sturdy and looks great. So much better than the keystone modular jacks it replaced. I agree with the comment that there isn't much room for labeling, but each port is numbered so it is easy to make a chart alongside such as you'd find on a circuit breaker panel. If the manufacturer would include spacers and screws they could simplify surface mounting.

Very solid piece, came packed in nice shrink wrap. As mentioned in the headline, just note that it is not for shielded CAT5e/CAT6. That's not really articulated in the text descriptions, but it would have been obvious if I would have actually looked at the pictures so it's all on me! Great for the price.

Simple Cat6 patch panel, everything I needed and nothing I didn't. This patch panel happily works at even 10G Base-T speeds with almost no packet loss (links run about 50 feet through office walls, so that is likely what is corrupting packets)This patch panel was exactly what I need to upgrade an office's network from 8x 100-Mb uplinks to the data center and 96x 10 Mb connections to desktops to 12x 10-gig links to the datacenter and 192x 1-gig connections to systems in the office (cut out a lot of old switches and hubs strewn about the office).

I'm happy with this and would use it again. I had to punch down two of my cables twice because they didn't test clean the first time, but I'm blaming that on working in tight quarters in my networking closet and not having the world's best punchdown tool. It's a little tight working in behind this if you're going to punch down all 12 jacks, but it can be done. I worry about the long-term sturdiness of the hinge (one side is hinged so you can swing it out from the rack or wall mount) - every time I swing it out it torques a bit from the weight of the cabling but so far it's held up fine. The labeling space is a little tight too, a label maker with a really small font helps a lot!

I've spent a lot of time behind these things. These are really easy to punch down and manage. Plus my customers, mostly small businesses, really like the professional look. I would recommend these to any tech looking to make a good impression. I will most likely use more of these in the future. Good product.
