Works great in combination with new color calibration software from Benq, Pallette Master Ultimate. My old Spyder colorimeter was not compatible with the software so I needed to upgrade to this.

Since the purchase, I have used this product to calibrate all the screens around my home and work environment. I like the easy to use software and the speed of calibration. This is better than the spectrophotometer version in my opinion due to the time-saving feature alone. I have since sold my spectrophotometer and have been use this one alone. I don't do prints any more, and this product is specifically designed for screens/projectors and it is the best fit for this specific application. If you do prints, I actually think you should get both (the spectrophotometer for the prints, and still use this one for the screens just because how efficient it is). I bought the Plus version and now think that it is a waste. Get the Pro version and save some money.

I used this device to calibrate the SDR, HDR and Dolby Vision settings on my LG C1.Start by downloading the step by step guide provided by tftcentral: LG OLED TV Calibration Guide – AutoCal and Hardware Calibration (google it). Also, you will need the Calman LG Home software. The whole process takes about 90 minutes for SDR, and 60 minutes for each HDR and DV. These are times clocked AFTER going down the learning curve. My first SDR calibration took 3 hours. On that, be sure to understand the workflow and get well acquainted with the steps you will have to perform. If you get stuck in the middle of the session you will probably have to start over. For the C1 all test patterns are generated by the tv itself ( kudos to LG). I can confirm that the DV test patterns work (there was some doubt about that.)Tip 1: download from Calman the three mp4 test videos that will put your tv on the correct mode for calibration. They will show a blank dark gray picture for 10 hours in SDR, or a one hour for HDR and DV.Tip 2: for DV, use the peak brightness hack described in the Guide. Otherwise, the post cal picture will be dark, similar to Cinema mode before calibration. In my case I set tMAX=330 on the config file.Tip 3: in case you don’t have access to the Shadow Calibration pattern, set the OLED shadow detail value to 500 for SDR, HDR and DV.Final thoughts. The picture improvement for SDR and HDR are remarkable. Well worth the money and effort. For DV not so much, but still positive.

seems to work fine from time to time..cons:-packaging are really bad for in my opinion, that device are pretty fragile, made from plastic and it came in regular box from paper/cardboard and a plastic insert that holding the device..-the software right now feels pretty bad, not stable at all, a lot of bugs, not applying correctly the profiles, crushing in the middle of the profile install, bugging out on systems that have more than one monitor especially if you using a duplicated desktop on the monitors(the software stuck on grey screen)in addition all monitors that i calibrated the contrast adjust physically on the monitor wasn't represented in the "calibrite profiler" and it just kept to jumping for allover the graph.-you don't have an option to adjust the profile to look closer to the second or more displays(even its less accurate)-price: for that cost you want to have a better software and packagingpros:-work very fast-the program, when it works as indented, are fine and pretty understandable.-small device and light weight.

Being an X-Rite user for over a decade, I was ready to upgrade to the Calibrite version. Accurately profiling and calibrating my BenQ displays is vital in Lightroom Classic.I always use the Large Patches, and on all three of my displays - the two BenQs and the Macbook Pro. When complete, all three match so closely it's easy to call it perfect. My eyes can't see the difference. But that's why we use hardware for making ICC profiles!I recommend to all my students of night photography that they also invest in a colorimeter form Calibrite. If you are editing on a display that has not been profiles and calibrated, you are starting from a point that is not color, contrast or brightness neutral. And it only gets worse from there. For me, this is now a habit like breathing. and this tool lets me breathe easier and focus on the things that matter - how I want to present my images to the world. It's small. Packs easy for on the road. And also handles the projectors and wall-mounted TVs I use when holding workshops.

I just calibrated my monitor using DisplayCal, an open source software. I did notice some changes, so it probably does work, and the software did detect it as a xrite device. My issue is that the box came beat up and the inside plastic box looked either really greasy or dusty, i also noticed when I removed the lens cover, the hinge area looks greasy, and it can’t be wiped off. When i tried to register the product, it was kind of suspicious that if you types too fast, the serial code input gets messed up. You have to wait one second after every key because for some reason, you press the key once, and it jumps to the key before. Like what? Also the date entered keep in mind is day/month/year. The product probably works, but the whole experience felt like some cheap knockoff product with a really sketchy ass product registration, like oops! You submitted it wrong, no warranty for you!

This is as good a meter as an enthusiast can get for a reasonable price. Anything that performs better will be at least 10x the price. With that in mind, this is the higher end of the line and apart from the ability to read very high nit values(like the HL series) this is the best one can get(again, when money is an object).I had the lower one with 1000 nit certified(pro) and now that the TVs generally exceed a 1000 nits I got this. It works well but for any calibrators out there I would like to remind that this still needs some kind of calibration with the spectrophotometer. Overall, it works well and hopefully will serve for a while.
