A bit tight opening and closing at first but maybe that’s a good thing? Won’t get so floppy later. The color spot are properly saturated. Skin tone range seems correct. Contrast bars are nice. Works with the color grader I have and that’s the most important thing.

The software experience was pleasant and easy to use, especially when compared to the Datacolor Spyder Checkr Photo. This one has smooth printed chips and a slimmer case. The surface of the chips are delicate, and I noticed tool or machinery marks on the first copy I received. It doubles for video which makes it a convenient reference tool. Gray card is useful for general use, but risking the delicate chips just to get the gray balance was not something I looked forward to. I find the snapping tilt useful for aiming the cards at 45º from the light. The cards aren't replaceable. Ultimately, I did find relief in how some photos were truer to life. I gained confidence and a good starting point from the profiles. However if the cards were not perfectly lit the profile would skew incorrectly, I suppose that is the price of accuracy. I hope to try the classic color checker to reduce the margin of error. I preferred the Adobe Camera Raw DNG workflow, since TIFF requires that Capture One attempt to turn its biases off.Edit: Amazon support sent a replacement immediately. Best customer service

My only complaint is the same as everyone else, and that is poor opening and closing. If you can get over that you’re golden.
