Camco's 1500W 120V screw-in type low watt density water heater elements are better suited for areas with problem water (hard water, lime, etc.) Most LWD elements are a fold-back style and provide no loss of efficiency yet reduce lime deposit buildup. Screw-in type elements fit most models of American, AO Smith, Bradford White, Craftmaster (prior to 1991), GE, GS Wood (certain models), Kenmore, Lochinvar, Maytag, Mor-Flo, Reliance, Rheem, Richmond, Rudd, Sears, State, Whirlpool and most water heaters manufactured after 1994. The replacement element must be the same voltage and wattage as the element being replaced. Never exceed the nameplate rating on the water heater.

This is EXACTLY what my hot water tank needed! It was the correct size, was just like pictured, the info was spot on and it was installed a month ago and is doing GREAT!!! I am VERY well pleased with my purchase, thank you!

Likewise, this one was ordered a few times, but it was my fault because I ordered the wrong size. I couldn't send it back because it was used, but I ordered the correct size and it is running successfully. Make sure you check the small numbers on the front before ordering. Once you have the correct information, then order.

Good value. Easy to install. Way better than replacing the heater. Bought one about two years ago and it burned out. Hope this one lasts longer.

Initial installation failed as when being filled water began leaking from threads. Uninstalled and added plumbing tape and dope has a very minute leak, a couple of drops in element housing that evaporate before hitting floor. Water is hot however a little on edge if leak is going to worsen.
